Good move by Dallas, but even with him, I doubt they get anything higher than the 7th seed. I always thought Memphis wasn't using Mayo to his full potential. He can definitely score and create his own shot.
7th seed? Bookies have the Mavs as the 4th best team in the West I think. Behind OKC, LAL and SA and ahead of MEM and LAC. Homecourt is not completely out of the stretch of imagination. When you think long and hard about it, how is this team really that much worse than the one that won the championship, other than Dirk is 2 years older? I'm not saying they're gonna win it, just they will be better than last year, when Dirk for example was clearly out of shape after the lockout, all the Odom nonsense et al.
