    As a UK fan, I'll give ya the 2 main reasons as he is simply the smartest coach in the nation :

    Experience for future positions
    Karl Towns (#1 Reason)

    Rick Pitino almost did the same thing with another team(can't remember which one at the moment), Today's game VS USA, Cal made it clear he would ask Coach K what defense he wanted him to run or whatever and was willing to help them out in any way possible. There are other connections too though. One of the DR players played for Ky and a couple from louisville
