Maybe Shaq can come back and they can all hobble onto the court with their fukking canes Lakers go nowhere with this deal. I watched every Suns game and those passes just aren't the same and jj is right when he said above that Nash plays "no defense" (didn't the Lakers lose a lot of games in the closing minutes because of....wait for it...NO DEFENSE...

    Fuk Nash, traitor!!!

This is a great deal for the Suns. Nash is well past his prime (although he is a deserved nba starter) but isn't capable of being in a championship lineup.

Great move for the Lakers, but it just makes them the definitive #2 to OKC.

People nitpicking too much beyond that. Bottom line is, they're better. That's what you're supposed to do.

Nash is still playing at a high level and a huge upgrade over Sessions. Not sure what happened to Matt Barnes post-Orlando, but Grant Hill is also an upgrade over him. They know they have a 2-4 year window to get another title. This is their best shot.

Lakers and Celtics have made next season interesting. I like Boston's chances, let's see what LA can do next spring.

this. you are going to see Bynum completely dominate and have his best year of his career. Nash makes big men around him 100x better. given the talent Bynum has alone, with Nash being able to give him the ball in position to finish easy at the rim is scary.

the Lakers never had great defense at the PG position anyway and still won many titles. Nashs defense will not matter.

Unless Kobe's shots drop under 30 attempts a game, it will be the same ol Lakers.

I agree though, if they get the bigs involved more in the game, they will be better. Hell, that was even last year. Time will tell, and will be interested to see how Mike Brown handles this.

Nash's role will be belittled into passing Kobe the ball and watching him "Do Work".

Nash comes in and Bynum will be talked about more than Kobe. Slowly but surely, Kobes points will decrease. This can only help Bynum and it will be a devastating tandem.

I totally agree with lunchbawks. NBA all about stacking a select few teams. Now I hate lakers and heat more than ever. Besides, no one mentioned that Nash has a bad back. He may sit plenty of games this year.

Like it was any different in the 80's and 90's. It was either the Lakers, Celtics, or Bulls. Early 2000's was the Lakers and Spurs. With a couple other teams sprinkled in there. Every decade has the select few teams that will win it all. Just the way it is.

Nash's defense will start to look a lot better once he start funneling his guy towards Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol. What was the best he had in PHO? Amare? Gortat?

The problem here, is the fact that the Phoenix training staff is not going to Lakers with Nash. That training staff is worlds better than any other one in the NBA.

For christ sake, they made Shaq a producing member of the team and all-star. They single-handedly gave Grant Hill (one of the most injury riddled people in the league) a second half to a career.

Nash could break down in LA.

Although, I do think this makes LA a very viable contender.

Lakers keep getting older and older did someone actually say in this thread Derek Fisher still got the job done . Like i said earlier if the Lakers would of got Chris Paul then they are championship contenders. With Steve Nash noooooooope. Bynum is as big as head case as World buckin peace kids. This team needs to get younger not older what a mess in Laker Land. i see people posting the Lakers are trying to get Grant Hill to. Maybe they can get Magic to suit up again what is he in his 50's whats Jabbar up to and Chuck Nevitt . This teams window for a championship is closed shut.

Well that makes the West more interesting I guess, now there is another team to contend to lose to the Heat in the Finals.

    ....lakers vs heat 2013 final

    especially if they get g.hill

also people that are talking about bynums immaturity, the dude is getting older (will be 25 in the beginning of the season) and he has two leaders soon to be all over him, that 2012 non sense will not be tolerated. remember there are no solid big men in the league, dwight, the "best" currently is on the east coast...prob on a second rate team (yes, d. will, g. wallace, j. john, and dwight will go no where)

where did i say the Mavs will be back in the Finals??? r u fukkn stupid? can u read? they all did us a favor last year, and we still thank them for it. its too bad the Heat won't get an easier road to the Finals than this year ever again and he won't be able to match his Finals stats from this year ever again, he won't be going as hard. He doesn't have that MJ drive in him... hell or even Kobe's. remember, 1/3 in the Finals troll once being swept and shooting bricks and then blowing 1-0 and 2-1 leads plus game 2 leading by DD with minutes to spare... all the while hiding like a coward in the 4th quarters! biggest pussy "Villain" in history! folded like a lawn chair with the pressure on... too bad the NBA told him to go back to trying to be a good guy and just STFU and play and let the officials help him out

and for this thread, why the fukk are the Lakers trying to repeat their failures of 2004??? r they fukkn stupid???

the way the Bulls played and WON compared to what teams do to get it done this decade is hilarious... the Celtics the Lakers the Heat the Knicks TRYING lol... and oh look, the current Bulls trying to get it done the right way even now hahaha

MJ Bulls r untouchable just as much as MJ is untouchable as #1 player of all time, elevated the entire sport to a place it will never reach again

Nash is a sellout and a fUckin disgrace.
First the man can't even represent his country in Basketball competitions, now he leaves the Raps high and dry to play for a team that he said would never happen about a week ago.

He will undoubtedly get booed and harassed now in his home country, and will hardly be welcome back. Decisions people make I guess.
