    Some 17 year old punk told me today.....

    While I was schooling him in hoops, said "Im wearing shoes by the best player EVER to play basketball, Kobes"

    I almost died. Told the kid you need to watch old basketball clips of Jordan, Jabar, Chamberlin, Robertson etc etc. Kobe isnt even top ten ever.

    Game was different back then. Its hard to compare players from different eras

    All you can do is compare that player to the level of competition at that time. Kobe is definitely a top player in that sense.

    Not so hard to imagine him at #1 all time

    Your crazy if you dont think hes a top ten player of all time, Hes dominated a decade with far superior talent. Not only is he the most clutch athlete in history the guy is amazing to watch.

    He would most likely make my top 10 if I thought about it. An exaggeration possibly by the kid but could be debated. Not as bad as what an 8 year old said to me this past weekend, he basically called me a momma's boy but in a more hurtful way. He said I'm afraid, I just sit back and wait for what (mom's name) tells me to do. Little bastard.

    oscar averaged a triple double for a year. the teams were so much better than because weren't as many teams. also lebron and kobe driving to the basket would of been given a shot to the chops. also you couldn't carry the ball, traveling was called and it wasn't a dunk-a-thon. teams play d.

    cant really take stuff before the 1980s seriously IMO. i give bill russell credit for being a great competitor moreso then a great player. kobe the best all time is a joke tho.
