In each of the first 5 games in this series, one team or the other has gotten out to a substantial lead at some point in the game. No less than an 18 point lead at its largest in this series.
Game 1: Hawks led by 27
Game 2: Heat led by 18
Game 3: Heat led by 31
Game 4: Hawks led by 21
Game 5: Hawks led by 23
Tonight in Game 6, I think it's the Heat who could get the big lead in this one. D.Wade made a point after Game 5 expressing his displeasure with some of the Hawks' antics in that game, including a player celebrating stopping Wade from heaving one up at half court before the half & Josh Smith's attempted through the legs dunk late in the game. So, you've got a pissed of D.Wade who has challenged his key rookies (Beasley/Chalmers) to show what they've got. Plus Wade reportedly is feeling better as the 3rd quarter of Game 5 may have shown. So a pissed off D.Wade. Heat needed this to prolong the series and the Hawks likely down Al Horford & Marvin Williams for this game. If Wade doesn't do it himself, Jermaine O'Neal should have a big game too against a now thin Atlanta front line. And of course, the Heat could still come out flat and the Hawks might push out a lead again.
All in all, I think we'll see a double digit lead again at some point in Game 6 and asking to see one at least at 16 isn't horrible, considering how this series has played out.
