    NBA = pay your dues

    I love the Thunder and really want them to win the series, but let's call a spade a spade: this league is all about the rite of passage. Always has been, always will be. LeBron's failed in the finals multiple times, now he gets his shot. Durant, Westbrook and Co. are all 22 and 23 years old and in the Finals for the first time -- when has a team of youngsters like this ever won a championship?

    We all watch this league so let's be honest about a very dishonest operation: this series may go deep, but the Thunder ain't winning it. It's the Heat's "time."

    Stern or officials can't keep the Thunders shots from dropping. Or missing 9 free throws. Or not defending the paint.

    I'm not saying there hasn't been shaddy games in the past, but I can't buy this whole thing about the NBA wanting Lebron to get a championship. Why didn't they give him one last year? No guarantee that he got back to the finals. Injures almost kept them out of it this year.

    If you could draw a comparison to the Chicago Blackhawks, they won the Stanley Cup with a relatively young team with their core players under the age of 25.

    They should have just traded Westbroke for Rondo before the season started.

    This is true and the legitimate side of it. He's not anywhere near ready to be an NBA champion point guard. Funny, because I got ripped from 20 different directions for saying that after his "big" Game 1 performance.

    It's a combination of this and the NBA's agenda.
