Can Someone explain San Antonio -10.5 against the Clippers???

    Crazy line here, boys.

    Not making much sense.

During the regular season San Antonio was -4 both times they played the clippers at home. Now we have a 6.5 pt swing in game 1????

Look at all the other series.
Miami was -7.5 and -9.5 at home during the regular season when playing the Pacers. In game 1 they were -8.5.

OKC was -7.5 the one time they played the lakers at home. They were 1 point dogs on 1 point favs the 2 times they played in LA. For game one OKC is -7.

Boston was -3.5 the one time they played Philly at home. In game one they were -5.5. A 2 point swing that did not come to being a true indicator of what was going to happen.

The line is most likely saying take San Antonio, but a 6.5 point swing seems mighty high.

The Spurs are amazing. It is like they are playing against the spread every game.

Arguably the best team on the NBA has been sitting back, watching film and preparing for the series.

They are playing at home and rested against a banged up (CP3 and Griffin, who happen to be their two best players) team who just had a very emotional win against a tough opponent who folded late.

    This game screams blowout.

so either gotta tease them down and find another play to tease... or just play them 1st half and hope they come out a blazing and the Clips get pounded before they figure out how to slow down the Spurs, not laying 10.5

Spurs are about to destroy the Clipps. Spurs in 5, maybe 6 if the Clipps get some help from the refs.

Blowout all the way, it will be a thing of beauty. My prediction: 120-80 Spurs win.

If the Clippers think the Spurs are the Grizzlies, they have something coming for them... Grizz couldn't hit a three to save their life, Spurs on the other hand...

Actually I think the Spurs go the edge here in game one. There will be lots of scoring on both sides. The over will look easy

Spurs will beat the breaks off of the Clippers.. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't -12. Anyway I do think it will drop some prolly about -9.5 or even 9 before it's over with...
The Spurs cashed every game except game 7 in the 1st round.... I cashed a few tickets with them boys... And I will be glad to cash a few more...

I had money on the grizz which was aggravating.. that series made me want to bet against the clippers (or grizz if they won), but spurs are still too heavily favored..

Agreed I like the over here as well and expect a fast-paced game. The Clips will play to SA's tempo and be willing to run after having to grind it out at Memphis' pace. Prob will be a 2x+ play at 191.

Nothing crazy about this line. Spurs should smoke the tired, crappy clippers.

I can't imagine anyway where this isn't an easy win for the Spurs by atleast 12-15pts....Their starting 5 are much better, their bench is way more deep and can produce more than Clippers' bench can. No discussion even needed about the coaching. I don't see CP3 being able to help his team much, because he relies on his team to keep the game within reach so he can takeover late and close it out - and Spurs won't allow this.

Not to mention, Spurs will esp. be deadly in this first game given how much rest they've had. And Clippers are a young team for the most part but they are def. banged up with a tough 7 game series. Rust may be a factor for Spurs but 48 mins will be enough for them to get in gear and put Clippers away.

Gentlemen.....when a line is too high or too low, you know what that means ! Pound Spurs, they will definitely cover the 10.5 points. Remember when they couldnt set the total low enough in a bulls game last week I believe. It was 169, they wanted public to say thats too low and bet over,I , like many, took the under and cashed it. They know what they are doing. BOSTON ML , OKC -7, SPURS -10.5 !!!

    Lets CASH it Boys !!!

I worry about Chris Paul. How do the Spurs guard him? In 2008 he tore them up pretty good when he was with the Hornets.

I was pounding the Spurs last round on every game at large spreads, but even I think 10 is too much. I would take the Clippers but I'm going to lay off because SA is my team.

the fact that SAN was 30-5 SU and 26-8-1 ATS @ Home this reg./post-season may have something to do with it.

    Yes. Over-correction here potentially???

Also, During the last 4 nba playoffs (including this year) when a spread is 8 or more points
    Favs: 33 covers
    Dogs: 30 covers

During the last 4 nba playoffs when a spread is 9 or more points
    Favs: 25 covers
    Dogs: 22 covers

    Slight edge to favorites
