Looks like a Sixers/Heat conference finals might not be as far from reality as most people seemed to think a few days ago.

I would say it would be around +140 for the Pacers/Heat and around -120 for Celtics/Heat match ups specifically. Celtics still a decent favorite to win this series, and Miami is a huge favorite to win theirs, so odds on the match up are not going to be too far off what stand alone Bos/Indy series odds are.

around +155 since the Sixers are +140 dogs and Heat are -920 favs to win their current series. Maybe even +150.

Sixers are gonna win this series too and should be up 2-0 but they gave game 1 away.

The Celtics got absolutely crushed then, At pinnacle too. they 'opened' 135/123, when I made the post they had moved to 143/129 or somewhere around there, now its 153/138.

if the spurs are - 1200 or something. So I would say the Heat should be about the same.

Heat up 1-0 are only -900 or so (875 at Pinnacle) Bosch beiong out makes the line move a lot I would imagine but in truth Heat are a better team without him.

Spurs are -1900 by the way.

Looks like a Sixers/Heat Conference Finals prediction wasn't too far off. Much closer than most expected I think.

you asked about this before the round started. Everyone expected Miami to win and Philly wasn't a giant underdog.

Odds were roughly +150 and it still might not happen.

It is pretty simple to figure out at this point:

    Odds on Heat/Pacers series: -1030/+775
    Odds on Celts/Sixers series: -250/+222

    No vig line for Heat/Pacers: +/- 798 = 88.86%
    No vig line for Celts/Sixers: +/- 230 = 69.70%

    The odds on a Heat/Sixers series would be: (1-0.6970)*(0.8886) = 0.2693 = 26.93% = + 271

If the odds of this happening was +150, prior to the start of both series, then your perception of what people "expected" was wrong.

Just for the sake of being complete here are the odds I calculated for all of the possible eastern conference finals matchups given the current market prices on pinnacle

    Heat/Celtics = 61.93% or -161
    Heat/76ers = 26.93% or +271
    Pacers/Celtics = 7.76% or +1188
    Pacers/76ers = 3.37% or +2863

idk but it will go 5 games if the Sixers are lucky.

Heat are fortunate they play in the East. Their road to the Finals is going to be gravy no matter how things shake out.
