    He is lucky the nba refs can change the rulebook on the fly. That wasn't even close to being called after the ball was thrown in play. Should of been 2 and the ball, and probably a trip back to ATL.

    One part of me is glad the refs didn't decide the game with that call, but another part of me is disgusted that they can just ignore the rulebook on national tv like that by pretending they made the right call.

    There really is no gray area around that call...the ball is either in play or not. When replays show the ball still in the inbound guys hands when the whistle is blown. It is what it is.
