Why did anyone bet the Knicks tonight?

This is not a brag/hate thread , just curious what possible angle you had?

My guess is because the Heat seemed trappy and this had all the promises of DEN LAL game 2

    Believing the media hype.

Take the Knicks roster and put "Milwaukee Bucks" on their uniforms and no one cares

That was a good thing. OK now that being said it was insane to put money on them still. You just don't bet that team here. The Heat are so much better than the Knicks and they actually care, it's the playoffs not some regular season game. You pass, period.

This thread is far more meaningful if it is posted before the game starts as opposed to after it is finished.

Its so easy to handicap a game after you know the final result.

You don't bet the Knicks, has nothing to do with hindsight. I would not of bet the Heat either. The point is you cannot bet the Knicks. To be a winning bettor you must know which games or teams not to bet. It isn't just about picking winners, it's avoiding losers just as much.

I would never bet on that lazy shitty team..actually melo sucks period he's a bitch

But usually teams down 0-2 on the road are money for game 3 at home. It's a great situation and you should look to bet teams in that situation especially later rounds of the playoffs. But still the knicks needed more than a great situation to cover

I'm taking Denver at home, don't like jazz or dallas but if jazz are going to cover a game and dallas win one best bet would be game 3

    Here I found some stats
Of the 75 teams who have fallen behind 2-0 in the series, they’ve posted a cumulative record of 47-28 (.626) straight-up and 44-29-2 (.601) against the spread. That’s certainly not bad at all. A further breakdown:
As a favorite: 27-17-2 ATS (13 outright losses)
As an underdog: 17-12 ATS (14 outright wins)

As always, don’t take this as an endorsement to make plays on all the teams trailing 2-0, but it’s at least worth taking into account.

Think that goes back to 2003

Kindreds right. I tend to ignore these trends in this goofy season tho. Fast schedule loads of injuries etc.

I am announcing publicly that the knicks will win tonight. I have made some solid picks on here and have not been getting noticed so I would like to guarantee a Knicks win tonight.
