Does anyone else have the feeling that the NBA isn't going to let NY lose this game?

I felt that way before the game and almost took NY ML. Instead I took them +5.5.

I kind of feel like they cover the second half as well because I get the feeling that the league wants them to win. Thoughts?

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/nba-basket...s-heat-2h.html

"I have no money on this game but it is clearly rigged. That and 1 call on miller vs davis was atrocious and the announcers don't say anything. Let's see what the books got for 2H and decide if there are any plays worth making. Knicks will win SU. Knicks/heat series only going 4 games would be a travesty for the NBA and Mr. Stern. So much $$$$$ to be made from this series"

I love how everyone is pounding Miami. Line is now -6 and juiced.

I feel like it such a sucker bet.

Knicks +4 (+125) looks very appealing. If NY doesn't cover that, then they most likely don't cover the +6.

I get that feeling too. This is a dream come true series for David Stern. Melo vs LeBron. MIA vs NY, rejuvenate the rivalry. Two huge media markets. Last thing David Stern wants is the NBA's biggest media market down 0-3 in a meaningless game 4.

True. My book doesn't have that, but looks good.

Exactly. This should be a 4-0 sweep for Miami but I could see it going six games some how.

MIA can't sweep NY. NY plays well in the Garden. Heat are a good team, but their flaws really show when LBJ and Wade aren't "on."

And NY and MIA really depend on their role players. Role players typically don't play well on the road, and usually play well at home.

Every other team has the past decade.

When was the last time New York won a playoff game?

I really want to take NY +4 for the second half but then I would have two bets on them....

    Can't do it.

Different team. What does the a NY team from 10 years ago have to do with this years team. That stat about the Knicks not winning a playoff game since 2001 reflects more about their management, not the team. Believe it or not, Knicks probably have the 2nd or 3rd best team in the Eastern playoffs right now. In a 7 game series, the Knicks would get past the Roseless Bulls, 76ers, Orlando, and Atlanta. Probably give them about a 50% chance of beating INDI or BOS.

I disagree. They aren't good. They are very average.

I would still take the Bulls, Pacers, Celtics, Sixers, and Hawks over them.

    True that.

It looks like Miami might be able to sweep NY after all Speedy.
