Kobe Bryant will enter Thursday's meaningless game against the Kings knowing what he needs to score in order to catch Kevin Durant for the scoring title.
The question is, will the Lakers let him go for it? Durant is currently up with an average of 27.97 points per game to Bryant's 27.86, and the Thunder finish up Wednesday against the Nuggets, when Durant is expected to play, but not necessarily normal minutes. Kobe's had time to rest due to his shin injury, but it's a quick turnaround for the playoffs. If he plays at all on Thursday, expect him to get heavy minutes and shoot a ton of shots in hopes of overtaking Durant. I say take over in both games for the 1st half. Durant and kobe will be taking alot of shots.
If i had to bet, you know how arrogant kobe is and the Lakers will want Kobe to win the scoring title.Durant is not expected to play but not his normal minutes. Kobe will only be benched if forced too. Nobody will be playing any D in that game. Durant is going to need to score 40 pts in 30 min and its not gonna happen.Kobe could have a 50 pt night thurdsay if needed. If you have the cash, all in on kobe winning the scoring title. Im also a durant fan but i see money being made.Over 1st quarter in both games, and whatever the player props are, over for both players.
