    Q: Why did Allen foul?

A: Because the Bulls were up by 5.

    Another "sharp" line.

Check out my Bulls -6.5 thread.

Also, I predicted a 7 point Bulls win 15 minutes before this shit went down. That was in my Chicago +325/Boston +450 thread.

I think the better question is why didn't Rondo even attempt a shot before the buzzer.

I don't know how you can watch the end of some of these games and think this is all just very sharp lines and totally legitimate.

    Better question:

Why did Boston run the clock out without trying to get a shot up?

    That was pretty blatant point-shaving.

The only thing evident was Rondo gagging the game... He looked dejected all 2nd half, with his buddy KG. Rondo throws a ball out of bounds, misses a wide open three and doesn't attempt to take a shot while he scampers down the floor with 6 seconds left. He's a joke and it's funny when he has one triple double people want to anoint him... He can't even make a 12-14 footer. He isnt a top 5 PG

I am not even suprised anymore. It's expected in NBA games. What does suprise me is those who still claim NBA games aren't rigged, Fixed or however you'd like to label them.

I love how Rhondo passed the ball to the ref standing out of bounds when they were only down 5 with 12 seconds left.

Then he just stood there at the end until the buzzer when off holding the ball.

Anyone here cap MLB? I've never played it before but I'm thinking of giving it a try. Seems like it is a much more "straight up" sport.

Rondo without a doubt was point shaving. What he did was inexplicable.

The "pass", the "shot", and then the "running out the clock rather than shooting it."

    It is.

Just pick which dogs you like everyday. Betting favorites will make you broke in no time. With that said, you have to be selective. You can't just blindly bet every dog or you will go broke too.

If a shit team like the Mariners is favored over the Yankees, Red Sox, etc. take the shit team. This usually happens because they have their ace on the mound (ex. Felix Hernandez).

    Be careful playing totals.

Be careful betting no run scored in the first inning. It seems like an easy bet at (-110 or -120) to just take no run scored but you would be surprised how often teams score in the first inning. Pitchers come out wild sometimes plus the tops of the lineups are up.

At one point there was a run scored in the first inning in like 17 out of 21 games last season.

As a rule of thumb, I usually don't play teams that are more than -150.

I never play a team +1.5 either but that's just me.

pick spots, like i parlayed tigers @ home w/verlander and indians cause they always blow the 1st game of season... sure enough, both teams saved their ass in the 9th or won it

its really good if you catch a team @ the start of a big losing streak, like what the Mariners did last year. bunch of teams will have 10+ game losing streaks

just really good looking spots for teams, teams trying to avoid a sweep and shit

don't bet that 1st inning no score shit, you will get raped

don't play too many run lines

lots of pitchers start out the season hot, while others start out horrid... look up stats

He's part of the conspiracy. See they had it all planned out to hinge the back door cover on two shots by a 70% ft shooter.

For the millionth fuking time, you have got to be pretty bad at fixing a result if you leave it up to the last seconds of a game.

If this happened anywhere near as often as NoCoin likes to think, then surely they have had enough practice to not leave it to the very end.

Im not disagreeing with anything said in this thread because a lot of shit seem sketchy, but I am curious as to why the Celtics would have motivation to point shave? I understand ref's ******* with shit, but the teams? why?

Look I believe in fixes and point shaving but most of these ones that No Coin comes on here screaming about just have no rhyme or reason. Why would the Celtics fix it so they lost by 7? The line opened at +8, everyone was taking the Celtics, the line eventually moved to +7. Did Rondo want to commend everyone taking his team early by guaranteeing them a win? What's the point in making it land on a number where half the bets probably push? The bookies lost money by it landing on 7 as all those getting +8 early win, there weren't many taking -8 early and all the 7's pushed. Is Rondo like robin hood? Stealing from the books to give to the poor? Gimme a fukking break.

Easy. It happens time and again. Either a lot of games are rigged or linemakers are sharp. I go with the sharp part since they do the same for the nfl and other sports.

Why can't people understand that nba lines are the sharpest?

Basketball is the easiest to make the sharpest line, its the nature of sport and the numbers compared to the others.
