    Trail Blazers +1.5 / ML

Portland are the better team here no doubt. Both teams playing with a days rest.

Can the Hawks stick around with Portland?

I have already sworn off playing any game involving Atlanta but it's hard to pass on Portland here.

Go bump a thread you started that had more than 1 person replying back.

You are boring and dull. Do something funny for once paleboy. Maybe that way someone will even reply to it. Every thread of yours probably gets ignored just like this one unless someone just pokes fun at it.

I'm staying away for about 3 reasons.

    1. Like you, i swore off Atlanta for a while. They can beat the best the lose to the worst. Too unpredictable.
    2. As strong as the 1st reason was i dont even know what to make of that team since Horford is done pretty much for the year. If they were unpredictable before, hard to say what they will be now that their most consistent player is done.
    3. Blazers have kind of cooled off the hot start and really they were never so hot on the road.

Really no idea how this game will go.

I think the big key here is the absence of Al Horford. He's so critical to the Hawks' interior defense and the big front line of the Blazers has the edge in the paint in this game, even with Camby out. Josh Smith is the only other really dangerous Forward/Center on the team and banging inside with Aldridge/Wallace all game is going to be very taxing.

On the outside, both teams have outstanding perimeter defense but Atlanta probably has the edge as Teague > Felton and Joe Johnson can shoot over the top of almost everyone the Blazers can put on him. The line seems appropriate, however I think Portland can win this game if they can keep JJ off his spots and challenge the inferior ATL bigs on the glass. That being said, the Blazers haven't been strong on the road. Should be a very tight game.

Best play might still be no play. Hawks are such an erratic team.

Hawley again the hawks are such an annoying team to bet against, but throwing that out the window and logically comparing matchups and playing style I think that Portland SHOULD be all over them. If Camby is back in it would be an even bigger reason to take Portland, but then again you cant predict when J. Johnson decides to earn his pay check.

I kind of think the Horford injured is something that will finally wake up JJ out of the slumber he's been in since getting that huge contract. He isn't elite, but he is playing way below the level he's played in the past. I think he will raise his game up.

Hawley's a winner dynosaur, go hate on No Coin, his thread gets hits.
go make fun of his ridiculous Hornets play, probably cuz 5 cent line move.

Tailing on the Blazers. Personally I think there's better games on the board and this will be a nailbiter, but they'll pull out a late 2H win.

JJ's problem is that he's NOT an elite player (ie: a leader) but he's asked to play that role on the Hawks. For the most part he's dependent on good ball movement to put him in a position to make HIS shots, many of which are shooting from 18ft outwards. This game is going to be decided by how effectively the Blazer defenders can disrupt his rhythm.

Hawks fan here. Dont see how we win this without Al. Bad matchups in the paint for the Hawks. Plus this team has no heart and chokes on the big stage.

Frustrating loss. Blazers had their opportunities for sure. Two missed FTs from Aldridge really ended it..

took portland 2h -1.5 as well but didn't post it, with all the garbage that happens at the end of games even that was in doubt. Execution down the stretch let the Blazers down in this one.

Happy to see the Nets finish the game strong and cover pretty easily

I didn't really realise that I only missed the push by 1 point. The Hawks had no interest in slowing down that final basket which is probably a good thing. An and-one there would of been a lucky push but bad beat for hawks backers.

Blazers can't finish away from home.

I knew this would be a nailbiter, I hate these game, more stressful than blowouts.

    Let's get them next time.
