    Is Kobe even top 10 all time?

    What do you think? I always put him him top 5 but looking at it more I'm not sure he's even top 10. He wasn't even the best player on the team for his first 3 rings

    I was just looking at a few lists and some had him as low as 15, its all personal opinion. For some reason people ignore that he was the 2nd best player on his team for 3 championships..

    I would put him low top 10, not top 5 though. Of course he's not even close to what Jordan was, people who didn't see Jordan play need to go back and watch the old replays.

    Same argument Ive had on boxing boards, if youre not old enough to have seen all the other greats your opinion means nothing. People put people in rankings having never even seen them play one second, only going off of what other people have said and stats.

    dlunc hopefully that list is not what you actually rank them as right?

    Lebron can get to top 10 but because he's on a team with a top 5 current player and a top 15 guy he's going to have to win at least 5..

    If kobe isn't top ten because he was the second best player for 3rings has to be the dumbest reasoning ever. Were taking about the lifetime of his work, and no player in the top 50 NBA players who have rings also had great players aka the 80s lakers and celtics do come on let's be serious he easily top ten ever.

    I do think he's top 10. I was just referring to people wanting to put him up in the top 5 and top 2 and even with Jordan. It's just not close. He's not top 5 though..

    haha na def not ranked in that order.. but kobe has spent his whole career with a top 5 player or a top 15 guy too right? ... not as bad as lebron, but with no shaq and pau, he is still sitting at 0 rings this deep in his career..

    I agree dlunc, that's my point basically. Kobe won 3 as the second best player on his own team so i guess for comparison sake we can't hold it against Lebron if wade leads him to multiple championships either. Let's let Lebron get 2 at least though before we throw him in top 15 range.

    I don't like Kobe but lets be real, he is easily a top 10 player of all-time and probably top 5.

    I love how everyone named off a bunch of big men. Kobe scored 80 points in a modern day basketball game and he wasn't just sitting under the goal laying it in all game.

    If the game was on the line and you needed someone to take a gaming winning shot, you wouldn't call on Shaq. You would call on Kobe. A lot of these big men couldn't create their own shot and would just get fouled and miss free throws.

    Imo, Kobe is top 5 and I hate the guy. He is better than Magic and Bird in my opinion. He probably doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

    Bird never won a title without at least 3 other hall of famers on his team, and even had 4 other hall of famers for 1 title.Shaq never won a title without the the 2nd best player in the league on his team. Jordan never won a title without the best wing defender of all-time on his team, or without one of the top 5 players in the league on his team. Kareem never won a title without a top-10 player of all time on his team.
    If people are going to use the 'Shaq' argument against Kobe, then use it against everyone else.

    Also, anyone that puts Shaq ahead of Kobe needs to get their head examined.

    I love Shaq but lets be real, there was a reason he WASN'T in the game in the final seconds or minute. He wasn't the goto guy. Kobe was. You couldn't count on Shaq because he couldn't make free throws or create a shot.

    Kobe has more rings, mvps, ect. and you people are really going to put a guy ahead of him that wouldn't even touch the ball on the final possession for a game winning shot? LMAO.

    It's one thing to dislike Kobe. It's another just to be ridiculous about his achievements.
