    Cavs +10.5 in Portland

Might roll the dice with Cleveland tonight. Why not. Just wish Portland hadn't been embarrassed in Phoenix, but I'm not convinced this Blazer team should be favored by DD over anyone so early in the season outside of Detroit or Washington.

Irving's looking pretty good so far and both Jamison and Varejao are off to solid starts. Cavs are 4-3 (5-2 ATS) and looking OK as long as they don't play the Craptors.

I don't like it. You explained why with Portlands embarrassment accompanied with Cleveland inevitably will not maintain that data. Blowout blazers

I like it. I'm thinking about making a play on the Cavs. I think we get a repeat of last night's Bucks/Clippers game.

I'm going to make this play as well. This Cavs squad doesn't lay down (except to Toronto like you mentioned) and if they can shoot at a decent rate I see no reason why they won't be within 10.5 at the final buzzer.

I never bet against the Blazers when the following three factors are in sync with each other:

    1) they're at home in that suffocating and unforgiving death trap known as the Rose Garden

    2) they're pissed off coming off a very ugly loss on a day's rest

    3) the blazers are healthy

    Picks for today:

Thunder vs Spurs Thunder first quarter -1,5 odd 1.91
Portland vs Cleveland Cleveland - 90 points odd 1.85

    Decimal odd Bwin

I thought I liked the Blazers as well, for the same reasons a lot of you have mentioned. Blazers are at home and are bound to show-up after one of the most humiliating losses in recent memory. I'm going to fade this game though because ~73% of the public is on the Blazers but the line hasn't budged from the opening line of -10.5.

Cavs have proven to be a stingy team as well. If anything, I have included the total in a teaser. The over/under opened at 196 and has dropped to 191.5. I teased the total to 199.5 and took the under, in combination with Drexel/VCU over 114.

    Good luck everyone. Go Gators!

Dude, I'm a Pistons fan -- if someone rips on them, I have no problem with it. Let's call a spade a spade.

i admit toronto is probably the 2nd worst team in the NBA. raptors came back from 25 points and won vs the pistons last season, i remember getting out of my seat & jumping up and down at the pub because i had action on Toronto, seemingly a sure loser at half. fond pistons memories, what the hell happend?

    What makes you say this?

And Cleveland has had very disrespectful lines so far (based more on last season than this one) against: vs Raptors, @Pistons, @Pacers, vsNets, vsBobcats, @Raptors, @Wolves. It's a big reason they're 5-2 ATS Portland is the toughest team they've seen so far.

The Cavs have been making a living on perimeter shooting so far, however Portland is currently the #1 team in defending the 3pt shot while using their length to dominate the paint and get second chance points. Portland should go ahead early in this game.

Raptors aren't worse than the Wiz and Pistons. Trust me.

portland is looking bad out there, they arent one of those teams that will play harder after a loss. imo they might even play shittier, looks like their morale was broken in phx, no chance they cover double digits

shooting 15 percent with a 7 point lead at haft time is pretty impressive and well on pace to cover. If only the NBA worked that way. 30 point leads can be torn down like a paper mache castle, so 7 points is still an absolute coin flip.

I thought this looked like a decent play but it's very hard to gauge how good Cleveland is considering the complete garbage they've played so far this year. Portland is simply a mile better than any of the Cavalier opponents so I stayed away
