yes, about.

The max deal for a player resiging is about 5/92 while a FA can only sign for 4/62. Can vary slightly because the max first year of the deal is like 25% of the cap and the the yearly raise being 4.5 % or 7.5% for resigning.

Why laugh at preseason? It still showcases his ability. 13/6 is very nice, especially when all the Bulls need is a SG to get them a steady 6 points every night. That was the magic number for Keith Bogans last year. When Bogans got 6+ points the Bulls were nearly unbeatable. Record was something like 28-4 when Bogans had 6+ points.

As for Rip being gassed, he doesn't need to exert himself in the regular season. Thats what having depth is for. Ronnie Brewer can spell him, as can Kyle Korver and even the rookie Jimmy Butler.
