    1st pick for tomorrow,

the underachieving suns, against the overachieving knicks, 1st pick Suns -5,

also leaning towards blazers +1, smart money is on the blazers i think clevaland is about to go on a lil losing streak, just like boston did when they played the lakers.

pick of the day Toronto and whatever the line is they will most likely be a dog for this game, detroit is playing lazy, there is no answer for bosh, rasheed wallace is playing the worst d of his career, i see toronto as righting their ship and getting their first win, coaching goes to toronto also..

When you look at Dallas' last eight visits to Milwaukee, you won't see much of a reason to take Dallas at +1 tomorrow. I get that - the team is 3-5 in those games and has lost by an average of just over 5 points per game in those losses. But there's a few more things that I like to see: this game will be Dallas' second of a four-game road trip; they have already beaten Philly and will be facing Detroit and Boston before the trip ends.

If I'm Dallas, I do everything in my power to ensure a win against a Bucks team that isn't in the same realm as the Pistons or Celtics. Doing so guarantees a .500 road trip and although that is a loser's mentality, I think Carlisle will make sure his boys are up and running for this game as they look at it as a really important one.
Additionally, when you look at some numbers: Dallas is 199-142 ATS after a non-conference game since 1996 (they beat Philly on Monday) and Milwaukee is 142-181 ATS in non-conference games in that same span. Dallas is 3-1 straight up against the Bucks over the last 3 years.

I'm not one of the gurus on this board, but I feel like this is a nice play. Won't go too big on it because I'm still learning the game, but I wanted to share. Thanks!

Also worth mentioning: Warriors -5 tomorrow .. they've won two in a row and are relatively healthy. Lost to OKC earlier this season and I don't think they want to be one of the teams that lose twice to the Thunder. Stephen Jackson will d-up Durant and I feel that Westbrook won't be able to run amock in the hostile Oracle.

indeed, was jackson healthy against okc on new years' eve? i want to say he was sitting out, which would mean that i would definitely give the edge to the warriors here.

they are on game 2 of the road trip and coming off a lost SU (and no cover) where they kikass...so they are a great play here. I still dunno why the line is so low here...

    Already posted in yesterdays thread.

Phoenix will be in full force tomorrow after the embarrasing loss to the C's. Now I fully understand that the Suns have had a bad run ats but I am fully invested in the suns to get the job done. Already gonna book it now and buy it down to four I believe the suns are two baskets better than the knicks.

    Suns -4 booked play

The reason why it's so low is that the Blazers have been killing it, or rather been quite decent, at home this season and the fact they are 8-3 ATS against the Cavs at home.

Cavs seems like the play, that's who I'll be on. They have won all games ATS by an average of over 15 points after a loss.

Thank you for the reminder, tex. Yes, Stephen Jackson did play in that contest against the Thunder on New Year's Eve. However, I am sure that his hamstring was bothering him, as he played in the Warriors' next two games before sitting out the next four to rest up. Nellie got on his case about playing poorly and Captain Jack did not like that Nellie was calling him out when he was trying to be a leader and play through the pain.

After sitting those four games out, he has come back and played strong - averaging 25 points, 6ish boards, and 5ish rebounds in the two games he's been back for. He's still hella inefficient, but I don't give a damn because the man produces.

Now that he is healthy, I think the Warriors will have him on Durant and they will use Turiaf on Wilcox whenever he comes in. Wilcox killed the Warriors in the last game as did Green and Durant. Green might still be able to go off, but I think Durant and Wilcox will be contained and the Warriors will prevail in this game.

Plus, now Maggette is healthy off the bench and is doing his thing solid. Homeboy is getting to the line - the Warriors are figuring out how to use him.

If nothing else, Jack will play this one as a revenge game and isn't going to let the Thunder do their thing. Just remember that he was hurt in that last contest .. he is much better now.

ck, i don't know if you noticed my last post, but I lost alit today, so I decided to take a tennis match that was already in progress (too bad for my local's website it didn't shut off wagering), as well as the san jose sharks BIG. The tennis match was a 500 bet, witch, started out 6-0 when I took the bet, then the other gurl decided to make a match of it, so I sweat it out to the last minuts....theeeeeeeeen, sanjose bet was 500 bucks to possible lose 1200 (i know, horrible odds) anyways, san jose was losing 1-0 the whole game, last 40 seconds, san jose ties it, then they win in the 1st minute of OT!!! wow! I seriously just pooed in my pants.

yeah, that's right...he might as well have been sitting out, as that was when he was playing hurt and putting up godawful numbers. and you're right, after the tounge-lashing from nelly, he sat out and has returned to be much more like the stephen jackson of old.

i really like the warriors, and i loosely keep up with them and play them (or against them) whenever i have a good feel on the game. i was so jealous when the other day ck was like, "ok, i'm off to see the warriors, hopefully atlanta will cover!!" i'm from memphis, and i would give anything to make a trip to oracle! you can't watch them play a good game and not fall in love with them...when they're on, they're on, but when they're off, it's just awful. i couldn't believe they were laying 5 against the wizards, much less anyone, but they ended up blowing them out. i think only in this game, ONLY IN THIS GAME, would it be acceptable to take the warriors to cover their second straight 5-point-lay this season, as they show the thunder who's king of the shit teams that play no defense.

from what i've seen, the thunder have an even less structured offensive scheme than the warriors. the warriors are erratic, but the thunder appear to have absolutely no idea what they are doing. correct me if i'm wrong. crawford, jackson, and maggette will present a challenge that is insurmountable for the thunder. i swore i'd never lay this many points with them, but i think i have convinced myself it's a good play.

yea the line being so low worries me. Maybe the injuries are worrying people.

I love Houston. Building will be rocking for the game due to jazz being houstons nemesis of late. Von Wafer is playing better than T-Mac has all year. Offense is a lot more efficient without Artest. Battier is banged up but he got a long day off.

    tomorrow I am hitting

Suns -5 , expect them to come out reeling after the Celtic loss and hand it to these kid pretenders
Wizards +3, Kings on a back to back with travel, Washington resting in LA. (hopefully not in the Clubs lol)
Bobcats -6.5, playing decent basketball of late and Memphis is horrible.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Mavericks line? Why are they underdogs in this game? Looks a bit like the Cavs game to me. I'm going to have to take a hard look at these in the morning.

they're dogs because they are on an 0-8 ats skid in games played in milwaukee. there seems to be better games to place money on, unless you feel strongly about the mavs in this one.

Think Im gonna sit out tomorrow, I just can't bet on the Cavs after their performance in LA. No Delonte West is hurting them more than anyone would think and I think Oden can keep his improvement going against **** trucks like Varajao and Hickson.
But then again, that man LBJ, I just can't bet against him, so I might just grab the popcorn and watch Alridge, B-Roy and LBJ do their thang

Clippers +16 at home against the Lakers. That's some serious disrespect there. I am not saying I will take the Clippers though. Gonna watch this line a little bit.

    CLE -1

As has been previously mentioned, the Cavs are beating opponents by an avg. of 20 points after a SU loss (notable efforts include beating the Mavs in Dallas by 19 & beating NO by 14 w/out West). In these 7 games following a SU loss, they’ve held their opponents to an avg. score of 82 points. Meanwhile, in the last 5 match-ups between these two, the Cavs are 4-1 SU (and ATS), and have held POR to an avg. of score of 85.6. Moreover, after the Cavs allow their opponents to score 100+ (5 times this season) they respond nicely, holding their opponents to an avg. of 86 points the following game. When the Cavs hold their opponents to less than 90 points scored, they are 17-1 SU and 15-3 ATS. The line-maker is giving POR more credit than usual here, due to West being out. Thus, we don’t really need to factor in his injury, as the bookies have already done that for us. I look for Cleveland’s superior defense (aided by a nice performance from the King) to get them back into the W column.

    WASH + 3

Someone please convince me as to why I shouldn’t take the Wizards getting 3 points in Sac Town tomorrow night. I really do not want to wager on a team with only 8 wins, but I’m not sure I can convince myself otherwise. They are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between the two, and despite that embarrassing loss to GSW the other night, have been playing much better defense as of late- one thing we can certainly not say about the Kings. The Kings are coming off a beat-down of their own in Denver last night and are a miserable 1-7 SU in their last 8 on the tail end of back-2-back performances. With WASH already posted up in Nor Cal (hopefully resting) and SAC having made it to bed about an hour ago, I look for the Wizards to eek out Win #9.

    Other Leans: BOS -9.5 (up to), O 180 Det/Tor, GSW -5

hate to fade CK and morrison, but i have to play the blazers and the points at home. Not only have they been solid as home dogs (3-1 SU/ATS) but they lost by one to lebron last year after dominating most of the game at home. I really think that they are in a good position to get the cavs back while they are weak. The cave in spread in which cleveland was made false favorites in accordance with public opinion makes me think there was a reason that portland was originally favored. gotta do it when they're gonna give me 2 pts of insurance. I'm just saying, if the heat could do it, the blazers could and should too.

    POR +2/ML

I'm also SERIOUSLY debating on the kings laying 3 at home. I know it's dangerous to try to fade such a solid system on bet B's (especially in two games), but the books have to know how well that system is killing them and must be looking to get some of that money back. The kings and wiz played last march, same place, same spread. Then the wiz covered, but now, i just can't put my money on such a crappy team against a team that still plays with pride at home, even though they can't compete with the elite. Sacto is too good at home and the public is just showering on the wiz... holding for now, but leaning

    SAC -3

last time utah went into houston was two days after christmas, and while they were under manned and specifically without deron williams, they still covered an oversized spread and took a 5 point loss in OT. For 4 years straight, utah has won at least 1 of 2 these teams have played in houston and they just seem to really matchup well with the rockets, knocking them out of the playoffs in consecutive years.

    UTAH +3/ML

    also tossing around

MIL -1 (DAL is 1-5 ATS/SU in their last 6 meetings in milwaukee)
    BOS -who cares
OKC +6 (they just want it too much and are playing too well to be getting points from crappy teams)

The heat are returning home after a long 7 game west coast trip – first game back and they are lucky enough to catch the Big Ticket and company who have won and covered their 3 last in Miami by an avg margin of 14ppg.

    -celtics (big)
    _________________
We all know how solid the Cavs are off a su loss (7-0 ats) winning by something like 20ppg. The Blazers will make this one hell of a game, but James attacks the rim in the final few minutes to help the Cavs pull away.

    -cavs (big)
    _________________
The kings will be coming off a btb from Denver (never good) back home to face a wizards team who has their number in Arco. The wizards have won and covered their last 3 visits by 13ppg (including last year also without arenas – and the kings had artest).

    -wizards
    _________________
Flat out domination is the only way to describe the Lakers/Clippers recent meetings in Staples. In the last 6 games the Lakers have won and covered all 6 games with the avg margin of victory of 27ppg. Though the Lakers are coming off a Cavs win, they are a streaky team capable of ripping off 6 or 7 ats. No Kaman, Camby equates to a huge mismatches down low. This one should get ugly – fast.
