2/03 jersey kai my nba play for today
i will be placing my wager today on the cleveland cavaliers moneyline; i will be risking 22 units to win 4 units.

    1 unit= 100$

how sure am i of this bet? about 9%, because toronto is in dire need of a win. cleveland is not (maybe somewhat complacent at home vs. a team they destroyed last meeting this season). toronto is a decent team. last time they played, toronto had almost, if not all, of their players contribute points in their big loss to cleveland.

i try not to get cocky, because anything can happen in an nba game to turn momentum. example, look at the hornets game yesterday.

anyways, i am risking a large amount to win so little, even though i am on ly 9% sure that the play will cover because i know that i am not risking my whole bankroll on this game. so, i can take the loss if toronto wins at cleveland.

and if you have some stupid shit to say about me or my post, keep it to yourself and don't waste my thread space.

post some strong picks if you have them. with some reasons, if you have them.

While I respect your strategy that seems to rely almost entirely on big favorite ML's, in the long run you're likely asking for trouble. As you yourself state, you are only "9% sure", and while this is likely an effort to "reverse the jinx" or simply downplay your inevitable loss, you'd think you could find one play a day that you were as confident about on the spread.

I feel like Cleveland covers this spread and will likely play it small. BOL.

hey dr. stale, although i mainly bet on moneyline favorites, it is not because i don't cap like crazy, it is because i am very cheap, and i will try as hard as i can to avoid picks that i even get a slight bad feeling about.

most of the 1 to 5 point spreads , i will look at, and most of them do not have some sort of edge that i can exploit,in other words, the bookie capps it right most of the time. the only time recently that i had a big edge was about 1 and a half weeks ago when the chicago bulls played at the depleted la clippers , the moneyline and the spread was great, and because i had done my own homework, i cashed out. i am cheap, and i am in it for the long run. and i hate losing, even if it is just a buck.

jgbgsox, i am fully aware of the risk, and, in the northcarolina situation, how can you be so sure that north caroina will cover by 20+ points against a decent maryland team? it's basically a cointoss and if your right your right, and if your wrong, your wrong, the northcarolina game does not have a moneyline to bet on also.

i would rather bet on cleveland which has a 550 moneyline and a -10.5 spread than a north carolina team with a 20+ spread cover and a probable -1200 or above moneyline.

dude if you dont like losing a $ you aint gonna make it very far a caper or a linesman... not knocking you but im just saying you will lose no matter what.

i won about 2grand last week and lost most of it on the steelers and betting the magic Qtrs against dallas.

trust me man my acount was banging and now its real quiet and im feeling shitty... but you gotta get em and not give up.

ML bets wont get you very far, because it only takes a few losses and your bank roll is gone

my response to this comment, i understand and respect your comment, but i disagree with you on a lot of things.

                      1. we have different money management tactics, as inidicated by your big loss

                      2. we are two different cappers, you maybe a better capper than i am, but then again, i maybe better than you

                      3. i did not bet on the superbowl, therefore, i did not lose or win anything

                      4. i only bet on things that i am pretty sure of, none the less, every bet is a risk and anything can go wrong.

                      5. moneylines can get you very far, depending on who you bet on, and how often you win.
