Don't count on it. They won't get serious until they start losing games.

NFL also had a much larger window of error with the amount of money they are rolling in. The NBA is much more cash strapped and doesn't have anywhere near the protection that NFL teams have.

Season will start in January at the earliest.

Seems to me that the NBA really isn't in aby kind of a rush to get back to work. Just seems like when the NFL lockout was going on, it appeared that almost daily I was hearing about the NFL lockout on the local news, if not ESPN. Total opposite for NBA, as I barely hear much about that lockout.

Very telling sign in how each sport is viewed by the masses..

Yep, NBA is in a much worse position. They're not even having consistent talks between the owners & players. & the NBA players aren't coming together in any way to to support the union the way the NFL players did. The players dont care if they lose 30 games off the season, they'd actually prefer the extra rest & vacation. Not looking good at all. Instead of the NBA stars standing up, they're making plans to go chill overseas.

At the very best, season will start in January, but that's very optimistic.

Latest I heard is that the NBA may be disbanded. Europe is the new super power anyway for basketball.

more than 20 nba teams are losing money...unlike NFL where all teams were making money. NBA lockout will be much longer unless the players cave in...good luck to paul pierce playing in europe where nobody cares about basketball

There won't be a season this year guys, the league is in badly need for change and it will take this whole season to settle all of it.
