    I haven't checked every team yet but looks like everyone has at least one play, some two, with all OOC opponents.

    I am compiling a schedule and just wanted to know, what is the rule regarding extra long road trips? If there are 6 game road trips that qualifies are those 2 separate series? If the road trip starts in conference is it still a V1 play if the following games are out of conference?

    Would love some insight on this, as there seems to be at least 1 of these problems with every team this season

    It's somewhat similar to the NHL system. JM states that for 6-game road trips you should only play the first 3 and recommends they play a home game before that.

    Now his exception to that is if they have been playing road games within conference before the 3 OOC road games, then you should ONLY treat the OOC games as eligible plays as long as they lost the previous road games by more than 3 points against the spread. (Adding 3 points to the spread).

    Hope that clears things up a bit.

    It does, thanks Win89. But it raises another problem for this season as the schedules are very weird. Most of the teams road games are bunched together. I'm seeing 8+ road games straight for some teams.

    I've completed just about half of this seasons schedule, and there are only about 10 true V1 plays so far. I guess we can see what Morrison says, not that it'll help.

    Hey all fellow JM followers! Glad to be back for another year of NBA. It was about time they got all that crap sorted out. I know I keep honing in on it, but with the schedule a little different this year, it's the perfect time to start (if you haven't already) to implement a labby. That way you can play a team that has say 6 or 8 or whatever road games in a row and just break it down into sets of 3. Cheers to making some money!

    This is what I planned on doing, I plan on playing full road trips and breaking them down and playing all system versions. This will undoubtedly come at the expense of more losses than usual but there really is no other way to play this system this year unless you only want ~20 plays. But I will take other methods of playing this season into consideration as well.

    I received an email from JM this morning, it was only a reminder that tip-off is in 2 weeks and to "get ready to make a slew of cash". We'll see what he does when the plays come around.

    My opinion the Chase110 system should have its own thread and it's nothing against Wallco, it's just the fact that JM NBA has 3 different versions so we should just keep it all JM in here. This way nobody gets confused. Again just an opinion....

    Notes:
    - (continued from...) means the series is within the same road trip as the teams previous series. Because of how screwed up the schedules are this year, I felt I would add them to the list. Note that V1 plays that have this tag will only be official if the team loses the previous series straight up and against the spread. V2 and V3 plays with this tag are unofficial.

    - (only if they lose...) refers to the JM filter in which teams that start a road trip in conference and then travel out of conference can be considered official if they lose both straight up and against the spread in the in conference games. I only did this for potential V1 plays. Note that I have included the start of the road trips as series themselves on the list as they would qualify for V2 or V3 anyways.

    Though I am fairly confident in the schedule, I encourage anyone to double check it for errors. Thanks.

    On a personal note, it may be a good idea to just skip December altogether. With the shortened training camps and only 2 game preseason it may be a little rocky. Some of the plays in December are the teams first games of the season, and it may hurt. Just a suggestion.

    Thanks for posting the schedule, thelimit

    I will also labby the plays, although I've been thinking to only go for A and B bets on one line, no points-buying. I'll run a simulation by the end of the month to work out something that suits me best.

    This upcoming shortened season is shaping up to be quite unpredictable. I wonder if we'll end up with profit using system principles tailored for a different kind of schedule.

    No problem guys!

    Pagodo nice to see you again! I will probably just labby all 3+ game road trips. It looks like theres enough plays to skip the (continued from) series so I will forgo that too most likely. In previous years, a great way to labby this system was to just play it all -110 and play all teams that took a road trip. This is what I will be doing however it may be a little more rocky with losses.

    Unless someone can backtest 98-99 under this system we will have no way of knowing for sure.

    You guys can verify the results for this but I think it's pretty accurate. The V1 ended up with a record of 11-0.

    [A]= 6 wins
    [B]= 2 wins
    [C]= 3 wins

    For series that contained in conference road games prior to the three OOC opponents I applied JMs guidelines in which they needed to lose the prior in conference games against the spread by MORE than 3 points( with three points added to the spread per his rules). That rule actually prevented a single series loss which I'm sure would have put the system in the negative.

    Also you would have needed to buy the 3 points for one series which ended up being a [C] bet that needed it.

    Not sure if I feel any better after the back track than I did before. Although it was a 50 game season I expected more plays but maybe they just didn't play OOC the way they do now. The one thing that bothers me is the three [C] bets on 11 plays....kinda scary plus buying the 3 points seems like the best move for this kind of season. If you look at previous seasons for his efficient systems (NBA, MLB) you might see one or two [C] bets all season.

    Thanks for the find Win89!

    This season there are 25 true V1 plays, 14 more than 98-99. If odds are -200 for all plays (if your buying points it will probably be -170 or -190), a C loss would equal about 26 units lost. Now, because your odds wouldn't be -200, and I just did that for easier calculations, you would still lose 20+ units a C loss. So really you can't lose more than once this season without going negative if you chase and only play V1.

    Win89, I played JM last year. There were more than 3 C bets. In fact there were 3 C bet losses last year. The system averages 2 C losses a season for V1.

    Wallco do you think the Chase -110 system will be affected at all with this seasons schedules? If I remember correctly its chase a team that has lost 6 SU and ATS, so that system should still play out fairly normal yes? Or are there any precautions this time around?

    Wallco, what site do you use to help determine your system plays? Do you just check every team every day or is there an easier way? I would very much like to know.
