LBrick with Cold *** Read on Covers ***

Miami Heat beat writer Ira Winderman reports LeBron James is dealing with a cold and is “very congested” leading up to Game 2. Meanwhile, forward Udonis Haslem (foot) says he’s ready for more minutes tonight.

Feel better about Bulls ML and Under now.

The crowd noise at United Center and Lbron not 100% I will take it. Capped the game with Bulls and Under. This just adds to the confidence level.

Kleenex alert! First for tears and now for a runny nose. He's says he's not making excuses and then leaks the story. Yep, Lebron, I believe you were at the 7/11 for cold meds. Must have been the trainers day off? Walk outside "King" for some fresh air and take a look at a Statue outside the United Center. Their's a reason why people love MJ to this day. He never made excuses and always showed up in the playoffs. If you were Rondo and hyper extended your elbow, I'll give you all the respect in the world when you fight through pain and play. But, the sniffles or a runny nose? I'm glad you don't wear a Bulls jersey! What's next, a menstrual cycle?

    MJ said it best when he stated the following;

"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry [Bird], called up Magic [Johnson] and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'". In all honesty, I was looking to beat those guys!

CHICAGO -- LeBron James won't just be battling the Chicago Bulls' strong defense and raucous crowd for Wednesday night's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals.

James said Wednesday after the Miami Heat's shootaround that he's been fighting a head cold for the past three days that has been draining him. He said he's been treating it as best as he can with medication and extra rest.

"I'm taking everything you can get from 7-Eleven," James said. "I've been sick since we got here."

While James said the congestion has made it hard to sleep and that it's affecting his energy on the court, he added that's it not so bad it would prevent him from starting Game 2.

James struggled in the Heat's Game 1 loss to the Bulls, scoring just 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting. James did not blame his performance on the illness and has been able to get through all of the Heat's practices and workouts over the last few days.

Brian Windhorst covers the NBA for ESPN.com. ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols contributed to this story.

hes taking things from 7-11 ?? i got the flu right before the all army combatives tournament in October and our team got me to a doctor and got me a prescription for Relenza ... i think the Heat would take care of their star at least as good ...

lebron playing sick is a decoy or an excuse if he can't perform well.

however, if he performs well, he is a super human being?

A win win situation for dude.

Yeah, but he ended up spending months in rehab after he had his elbow surgically repaired... Oh wait

They just showed him in the locker room and as soon as the camera panned to him, he started sniffling and coughing on cue. What a pussified diva.

Hail to the King, baby. LBJ trumps Chuck Norris, what makes you think a measly bout of the flu will get the best of him.

His shots were clutch ... still feel there was a lot of B.S. from the refs, but, credit where credit is due ... when the ball NEEDED to go in the hoop ... James got it done.

well it was a win win situation for him. If he played bad then he could blame it one the cold and if he had a good game then everyone would sing his praises
