Damn smoke that sucks, I was on the bulls too, but only a small play.
How much damage did you do?

Why all the hate in here? It's not like it was called a lock or guarantee that I saw.

some of the hate was in the cockiness of many on sbr saying the bulls should've been favored in the series (ridiculous) or that derrick rose will go down as the best player since jordan (even more ridiculous).

and then after game 1 these guys were talking so much trash on the boards about how awesome the bulls were and how much miami was overhyped garbage.

starting a thread with "do we go ALL IN on BULLS" is pretty close to calling it a lock, unless you shove all of your bankroll on bets that aren't locks.

It surely did look like the majority was on the bulls.
From what I understood it was asking "do we go all in"
Not "I am going all in"

But then again, I didn't read the whole 5 pages of stuff, could have missed something.

    Current series price is:

    Bulls +700
    Heat -1000

But the Heat are +145 ML dogs for Game 5.

I wonder what the series price would be if the Bulls won tomorrow?

Probably not a lot better, with Game 6 in Miami. Call it Heat -500/600 if the Bulls win Game 5. Still a pretty unbettable line.

Yeah. I don't think i can take that bet. Just trying to figure a way to at least make some money back on my -135 bet. If I take Miami ML at +145 and Bulls win then will prob try to wait till game 6 to make a hedge bet.

A parlay of the Heat ML and the Over/Under pays out at about +370. I'm thinking either risk a small amount on this to cover the series cost, or just wait it out and hope for the Bulls to get far enough ahead that an even smaller amount on a live Heat ML would cover it.

There is nothing to hedge here dude. It's stupid to even talk about. This series is done.

And you need this series to go 7 to have any kind of significant hedging potential. It's not going to happen.

You have no understanding of what a hedge is then...

Read above post. Don't get mad because you originially thought the Bulls would win this series and are still hanging on to false hope.

Also untrue. Not every hedge is perfect. If I like the Heat to finish the series tomorrow and take the ML to recoup part of the series bet, how is that not a hedge? Who's mad here? A 3u loss on the Bulls series can be swallowed, but losing less than that is obviously optimal

The fact that the team up 3-1 can be had at +money on a potential closeout game gives more flexibility than you would usually get in such a game.

And if the Heat lose tomorrow, then what are you gonna do? Now you're stuck more. Now you have to bet the Heat on a - ML to not even recoup what you just bet on game 5 or you just rely on the Bulls winning game 6 at Miami.

The Bulls almost definitely won't win in Miami. This series goes 6 max now, and probably 5 so the Finals can start. I think it's very likely that the Bulls start strong in the game, but the game will be tight later on. Either way, I'm talking about putting in an additional 0.5-1u on a bet at +money that I would like anyways even without the bulls series play on the other side.

I wish you luck and know that every hedge isn't perfect. I'm just telling the risk that is involved (which you probably already know).
