Would the Lakers have beaten Dallas with Anthony over Bynum?

I ask this question because the Lakers stopped a trade that would have been straight-up, Anthony for Bynum but I thought that was an excellent trade. They certainly could have gotten more help from the refs with a Bryant-Anthony super tandem. I think the Lakers would have beaten Dallas with Anthony.

i think mello isnt the guy to come in and solve problems on a team in turmoil...or a guy that LA brass trusted to be the next guy in line to lead the franchise.........

Kobe and Carmelo. On the same team? With one ball?

Of course. The only way your going to beat Dallas is outscore them. Melo has always done well against the Mavs throughout his career, including averaging 30 point in the series when the Nuggets beat them 4-1 in 2009. Melo would of gave the Lakers 25-30 extra points for sure.

Anthony wont help the Lakers match up with the mavs so they still would have went down in 3 games. Game 4 was an exhibition game.
NBA has no answer for Derk, kidd and their entire bench

Considering Bynum manned up and played excellent, I'm going to say no.
