I don't think you understand. GoatMilk knows a ton about basketball, just ask him. He will tell you how long he has watched the game yet he won't say how old he is or how long he has watched the game.

He bragged about picking the Celtics, Lakers, and Heat to win championships. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he picked the Bulls in the 90's and team USA in the London Olympics. Guy is sharp.

My best friend works for the Thunder. He had to move to New Jersey and work for the NBA for a while before he was able to move back home. He was pretty happy because it was either back home to OKC or to the Detroit Pistons. It's pretty cool hearing some of his stories after being around some of the players.

He also said Stern sends a company wide e-mail every year reminding employees they can not wager on the NBA.....LOL.

Let me say this Big D to clarify: GM knows basketball. I've never denied that. But vyom is a heavyweight gambler. There is a big difference.

I don't care how much of a savant you are about the game itself -- if you rely strictly on your basketball acumen vs. databases, line reading and all of the other complementary tools it takes to win betting this sport or any other, there is no "contest." GM goes on streaks and does well in the NBA because he knows and understands the game. But his admitted disinterest in any and everything gambling-related dealing with where lines are set, movement, etc. will be his downfall here.

This isn't a basketball IQ test. It's a gambling matchup. That's what GM simply doesn't understand. That's why his NFL plays fail over and over again. He's a sports fan and an intelligent NBA mind wasting his time in the wrong arena. Honestly, someone should introduce GM to fantasy sports. It's much more clear cut and based much closer in reality than sports betting.

I'm not trying to say No Coin is a bad capper, Pauly. I check his thread all the time and I know he is a good capper. My problem was just that there is such a beef between NC and Goat that I feel like if NC is going to encourage this contest the way he did in his thread and then talk the trash he's talking in this thread, he needs to also be included in the contest. Who doesn't hate the guy on the sideline talking mad shit but his feet never touches the court. I'm not trying to start anything NC, but I do think you should enter the contest if you two have such a rivalry.

PS. I think all this stuff is pretty ridiculous seeing as we're all on this forum for one reason and that's to make money vs the books. Maybe I'm unrealistic or just ignorant, but I'd like to think that a good bit of us are here to learn something whether from other cappers or from looking at our own threads and correcting mistakes.
