    Here's why I'd consider the 2H under

    The two teams combined for 106 first half points. Dallas is hitting 60 percent of its shots; Portland is at 58%.

    Had both squads shot 50% each -- still outstanding production -- there would have been approximately 92 1H points scored (taking away about 14 points, or seven points for each team).

    I think we'll see about 88 points scored in the 2H. NBA games typically slow down after the break, especially at the Rose Garden. I like the under 94. Lines are soaring at the books, but I'm not buying it. The only thing that may throw it off is if there's a ton of FT's at the end. That, or if the officials start to send guys to the line left and right.

    Are you going to bank on both teams shooting around 60% the rest of the way, though? If Dallas had been 18 for 35 instead of 21 for 35 and Portland had been 20 for 40 instead of 23 for 40, we'd be sitting at 93 or 94 points right now and everyone would be talking about how far under this game would go from the original 187.5 total.

    I'm not guaranteeing this or anything, but do you get what I'm saying?

    I took the 2H under and parlayed with Dal +3... after 3rd Q under looked good so I hedged with POR 4q -1 1/2... either I win 70+ % of the parlay or I brake even... sounds good to me.

    or POR wins by 5 and i win both lol

    A little hint, patty -- I've been tracking NBA totals quite a bit this season, especially in the 2H. Any time a book makes a 1-1.5 move in one direction on a total for the last play of the night, go the other way. Almost always cashes. I don't know why; maybe books are anticipating us degens are trying to follow the steam so that they can get our money, but it's a + move.

    If you fade the line movement of the books both sides and totals on the last play, you'll be well in the black. Trust me.

    I took the under 2H, it was an easy play. They were at 106 points first half, shooting lights out. You knew whoever led was going to slow it up in 4th. This was a pretty easy cover.
