I agree, wouldn't that be like saying New Jersey and New York are the same thing?

I'd say the Bulls franchise is most likely permanently safe as well. Rock solid attendance even during their shittiest years, and 3rd largest market.

No team in the NBA is safe, unless you are the Lakers, Knicks or Celtics.

I would love that. Although, until Seattle gets a new arena or renovates the Key Arena, the NBA won't come to Seattle.

More like the Anaheim Reyes and Tyreke Evan's XIII jersey will be the #1 selling jersey with every southsider buying one.

Billionaire can buy the team but will he build them a new arena for free too? Sac has already voted against building a new arena. No luxury boxes no Kings in Sac.

The leadership in the city of Sacramento and the local paper trashing the team are the ones to blame for the Maloofs moving the team to Anaheim when it more than likely happens......Tried to get a new arena for years built to no avail. I hear Arco Arena is the worst arena in the NBA period.

The NBA team moving to Anaheim will be called the Anaheim Royals.

So-cal will have two teams. Kings/ Royals dont count. Each time I went to a Warrior vs Kings game this year in Sacramento, I heard the chant "Lets Go WARRIORS!" from the whole crowd. Kinda sucks to hear that on your home court.

Maloofs have legally registered the name Anaheim Royals. Anaheim city council has approved a $75mil bond to pay for the move and the renovation of the Honda Center.

All the stuff I have been hearing on ESPN radio lately is leading me to believe that its bound to happen.

Its a good thing they moved then. OC has the market to support them. It is a mission for South County (large population of affluent folks) and even some Central County folks to go see a ball game in LA.

Agreed. Plus, OC has a population of 3 million people. That's as large as most metro areas with NBA teams. OC has supported the Ducks, they will support this new team.

It comes down to the luxury boxes. ARCO doesn't have them and Sac won't build a new arena with them. Anaheim will refurbish Honda to include them.

This is why the NFL won't move a team to LA. No one is willing to build a new stadium with luxury boxes.
