I'm convinced that at this point in the season, teasers and parlays are the way to go, IF STILL RESEARCHED AND CHOSEN WISELY. Spreads are getting more unreliable at this point, so I prefer to take my chances playing multiple 'square' cards to disregard to spread.

Some say teasers and parlays aren't the way to go, but they've done me alot of justice thus far. Anyone else have an opinion?

Like I said, these were plays i made this past weekend (Sat & Sun)...those plays are just used as a reference of bets I've already made that hit...I'm not by any means saying teasers and parlays are full proof...just saying, it's the direction I've personally decided to go...

The next best to a lottery is picking a 10 teams parlay. You will lose more but there is a chance that you will hit it all for a small jackpot. $5 is a tip to some and $5 can not even last you 5 minute on a slot machine so why waste that $5 when you can put it in a 10 teamer parlay?

Lets say you casually play $5 a week. 5 x 52 weeks in a year = $260. Around here, we lose more than 260 bux on any given sunday so with 52 chances to hit all 10 to get a giant parlay jackpot is money well spent. It doesn't make you a gambler either and you don't have to sell the house. You can still bet but you wouldn't get in trouble if you are down by a bunch either. I do this every year with NFL and for the past 2 years, only managed to hit 1 card of 10 teamer. I guess you can say I'm still up.

To be honest, I've only lost one parlay(a while back, dont remember what it was)...and haven't ever done a teaser until a few days ago. I haven't done many parlays to begin with. I'm not 'capping' or trying to flaunt a record, just opening general discussion about the idea of teasers and parlays...

You know that I have seen some good cappers around here that gets like 6 wins and all hits on certain days.

Good theory Brosuf, I like the example you presented. I don't necessarily think parlays nor teasers should be played on a daily basis, even if i have had more luck than loss over them. One play can ruin your whole bet. I guess i just like the fact that I can put a certain amount on ML's through a parlay, rather than a straight bet without loosing my whole bankroll over it if by chance something doesn't hit. Who wants to get burned by 4:1 odds on a MIA ML? I'd rather combine that ML with another I'm confident in, like OKC/DAL...and if either lose, I'm not too deep out of pocket...

because every game counts for a lot now in the NBA, most teams that are projected to win will come out and win. MLs are good but they hurt in the long run

Yeah I have a buddy thats a little more into MLB than I am so he's going to help me out with that. I thought MLB was harder to bet on, but he in fact explained to me its significantly EASIER thank NBA... hope he's right, because this nba season has been stresssssful lol

i play atleast 1 parlay a day, I usually take my favorite few picks and play them strait and also parlay them all. I actually hit for 40k a couple weeks ago doing a huge parlay and doubled my BR. I played it 2 times so profit of 38k because i wasnt sure on 1 game so played it both ways on the one game. Ive recently found alot of value in betting parlays in NHL from a poster in the nhl forum and he has made me alot of $ in the last couple days. I have never hit a 10 teamer though in my 30 years of life i dont think ive even played a 10 teamer.

I always throw $10 a week on one 10-12 Team progressive parlay during the NFL season for fun. Hit 10/11 one time it payed like $600. But yeah other than that I have lost more money than i've won on parlays and try to stay away from them. They are just so much fun though, just not practical if your goal is to make money over time.

but this is not a good bet to take i think....on the long term majority of bettor will be loosing with this kind of parley.

Seems like the only way to achieve THIS kind of profit off of a $500 parlay, is if you ML all underdogs and they all hit ...which usually is unlikely to happen, but the way things went down across the league on Friday...THAT WOULDVE BEEN A PARLAY OF THE YEAR FOR UNDERDOGS...THEY ALL HIT!
