AI was selfish, but he was really tough and he could score.

One of my favorite players to watch growing up. He made the NBA must watch TV aside from Jordan.

Iverson is one of my top 5 all time favorite players. Blessed with quick twitch muscle fibers as well as seemingly an inhuman lung capacity, the guy could run all day and not seem tired, Ive even heard players say that about him. Just gifted. He was a me first type player though and with 4 other guys on the court, that doesnt bode well.

didn't the league change some carry rules because of his crossover, the guy was unstopable in his early years, the sixers killed his spirit, if they didn't want to rebuild around him they should have trade him instead of expecting him to win a championship for them by him self.

ALLEN IVERSON is one of the most OVERRATED players of all time.
Can the dude score? yes, but he needed 25+ shots to get his 30 ppg.
he was a horrible player to coach and a bad teammate.
the dude never improved his game, because he didnt take his job seriously.
people will argue he played with a giant heart and that is true, he had a ton of heart

larry brown was the real reason the sixers and iverson had any real success.
he let AI do all the scoring, while the rest of the team did everything else
AI was an elite scorer b/c he was the quickest and fastest player on the court
once that was gone, u see how he flamed out reallllllllllllllllllly fast.

Allen Iverson didn't know how to share the ball but was a true warrior on the court with a great offensive game

iverson is equivalent to sticking any qb in the league on the colts.
You can stick brady, or even joe montana at his best on the colts and the colts wouldn't win 5 games.

as a south jerz native, no doubt a philly fan, im 31 a lil too young for the end of the Dr. J days and Sir Charles philly days, but since that time, about '91-to present, the only time the 76ers were relevant were from '98-'03 the prime of Iverson.... we all know his character but he brought excitement to the wacho center, 76ers were competitive every nite and every seat in the house was sold out. the 76ers had game 2 just about in the bag against the lake show, you know what happens when you dont close out on them, they got swept 4-1.......iverson crossing up jordan, iverson step over on pretty lue and "practice"

Iverson had a nice cross over dribble and he was a nice finisher at the rim, but I wouldn't want him on my team if I was a coach. He was good, but not the player I would pick to start a franchise or anything.

On December 9, 2005 after the Sixers defeated the Charlotte Bobcats, Iverson paid a late-night visit to the Trump Taj Mahal. After winning a hand at a three-card-stud poker table, Iverson was overpaid $10,000 in chips by a dealer. When the dealer quickly realized the mistake and requested the chips back, Iverson refused and a heated head-turning argument between him and casino staff began.

I think there are two Allen Iverson. After Denver and Before Pistons. first IA is not an overrated player having a special place in basketball history.suprisingly it was the most disappointing trade in Pistons history....
fortunately he moved (came) to my home country and I watched him.

Other players could not do what AI did if they hogged the ball.
The other teams knew AI was going to try and score and he still did it over and over.

There may never be another like him.

He was the best ever at what he did.

And he was a solid passer and a solid defender, led the league in steals many a time i beleive.

He wasnt a team player, but he was a leader.

Over-rated. Even at his peak, overvalued b/c of the team aspect.

Sixers often played better when he was injured.
