for the top seed
after tonight's loss to denver, the spurs have a 6 game lead. However, look at their next 4 games before the end of the month
Portland
Memphis
Portland
Celtics
I can see them losing 1 to Portland and to the celtics. the way portland is playing its very possible that portland takes both games. if Lakers keep winning the lead shrinks to 3-4 at the end of the month. They have 7 games in April.
They play the Lakers the 2nd last game of the season. that game could be for the top seed. I dont think the Lakers really care about having the top seed in the West. I think it just matters that they have a better record than the top seed in the East to have home court in the Finals (behind the bulls by 1 game)
and btw how about Lamar Odom for 6th man of the year
any thoughts?
