Live In-play Betting on Formula1 Races coming for 2019

"F1 has entered a partnership with Interregional Sports Group (ISG) and Sportradar to enable live betting during races"

    https://www.pitpass.com/63525/Carey-...s-betting-deal

    This could be quite big.

Motorsports suits live in play betting better than any other sport IMHO. And it's never been done before.

    so -300 F1 pre-race favs will be -900 in-play after lap 1?

    thinking just euro books Opti?

hopefully nascar is never offered, I think it would be unhealthy for me and disaster for my profits...but things actually change many many times in nascar races unlike F1 so would be next to impossible i think...maybe end of stages?

    I kind of agree.

Live in play betting is the crack cocaine of sports betting.

But I can't wait to see it in action anyway!

I think it will be different to any other type of sports live betting we have seen before.

of course, because F1 is all about the car and they drive the best 2 and its not close

really its whoever wins the pole which they usually do (this year anyways)

thats why I said leader after lap 1 wins about 90%+ in F1 (maybe 10% in nascar without looking)

that's why i find formula 1 boring it's whoever win the pole wins the race or those 2 guys it's not like nascar where more drivers can actually win

    I totally agree

I do enjoy it more than I use to, but i rarely bet on them unless just tail Opti's plays cause I don't know that series near enough and he knows it inside out...hate the odds every week on winners and h2hs, but I do watch it now if nascar isn't on at same time..i will play FL on non favs for a rooting interest if im watching though but not much on it

Live betting won't be just about the race winner.

So many interesting options available in motor racing when the books have a live feed of timing to work from. If I was designing it anyway.

If it works as well as I expect it might, Indycar, MotoGP, NASCAR will all jump on the bandwagon. F1 is looking to make 10 mill+ annually, just for supplying the data feed and allowing it. Those other series will follow if they can get millions too.

I don’t watch F1 as frequently as I do other series but I did watch the race in Brazil over the weekend.

I was actually thinking that would have been a great scenario for live betting when, for a good stretch after Lewis pitted early, it looked like Max had the edge. I wondered what their in-race odds would have been.

Like Mike, I doubt those of us in the US will have the chance to live bet F1.

I assume there are a few low limit books who offer live F1 betting.

    Not sure.

There are large swings in race position due to strategy and tire use over the race. The chances for trading in and out over the course of a 2 hour race should be bigger than any sport you've seen before. Cricket live betting is a guide to how it could be, but with larger sudden market swings.

And it won't be just race winner.

Head to heads, top 10, top 6, fastest lap, next pitstop, safety car before lap x, fastest pit stop of race, next retirement, fastest time on next lap.

You might have to be an F1 fan to get what I imagine we will see and how it will work.

With full access to the myriad of data already coming out of an f1 race in real time a crearive mind could come up with something amazing.

I doubt there is any other sport that could come close to the data volume, speed, accuracy and diversity as motorsport.

It would be the happiest day of my life if I could live bet nascar.
