Alright fellas we are off to the BRICKYARD, the Famous Indianapolis motorspeedway, this week for 1 of NASCAR's 4 Crown jewel events of he year! The Xfinity series and the Cup series will be racing here this weekend while the truck series will be racing on the dirt @ Eldora on WED night for its most anticipated race of the entire season.
INDIANAPOLIS is is a 2.5 mile flat ashpault super-speedway. The banking in all the turns is the same at only 9 degrees. The straights have 0 degrees of banking and both measure out at 3,330 ft long.
This race is run only 1 time a year, and can be tricky to predict, as in the past fuel mileage has crept into the strategy alot of times, not sure how stage racing will play into that this year though and may not be as large of a factor, but I haven't looked at stage lengths yet but I will post them soon.just starting to dig into my notebooks and watch the last few races from here this morning.
The Xfinity series will also have restrictor plates for the first time ever here in an attempt to make the cars not so strung out and the race not so boring after last seasons sleeper
GOODLUCK this weekend!!!!
