Damn it! Best race of the year dropped

NASCAR will not return to the Circuit Gilles Villeneueve in Montreal next season, ending a six-year run for the Nationwide Series. Promoter Francois Dumontier announced Friday the end of the agreement, which had been operated on a year-to-year basis. NASCAR said it wanted to return to Montreal, but could not work out a sanctioning agreement with Dumontier's promotion group. NASCAR hopes to still be racing in Canada next season, possibly with the Truck Series. One potential venue for NASCAR is Mosport International Raceway in Toronto. NASCAR also plans to fill the void left by Montreal in its 33-race schedule, which has yet to be announced. NASCAR's preference is to explore new markets where it's not currently sanctioning national series events.

    Well that sucks!

Oh I didn't think of it like that. Thought they were saying not US/CA/Mexico.

It had better be a good track. NASCAR is fukking badly with the core Nationwide supporters. Taking away ORP and now Montreal. Probably the two best Nationwide only tracks we had. And ditching Mexico too... that was up there as a favorite race too. Early in the season NW only road course.

    Fukk them all.

Montreal promoter needed a Cup race to make money. Was perfect time to put a road course in the chase. And the perfect track for it.

great track but the nationwide drivers ruined it with all their cautions. Would love to see cup race there.
