Anyone know for sure what the rules are going to be for this one? They said they would change water blowoff valve pressure and/or reduce grille size a while back but haven't read if that will actually happen this week.

2x2 racing may be over. Do we go back to capping this race as a pack of cars. That would mean Gordon, Little E, Stewart and maybe Kyle? It may at least stop the huge underdogs from sneaking out a win.

Can they still move from last to 1st in a lap or 2? Will Edwards and Harvick Point race? Is that possible at a track like this?

I wonder if given a choice at end does Bowyer help Harvick or one one of next years teammates

I don't think they can really point race on this one

They can sit to the back and wait to come up with a lap or 2 left. But can the get there without over heating. Why not qualify towards the back with a partner and wait. But, if you can't get back to the front in a couple of laps it may be better to try to stay up front.f\*\*k this race

Just had Gordon on Nascar now and he said the only difference is that cars may have to duck out or switch more often. He wasn't happy as he said thats when the wrecks seem to happen on the switches

Seems so obvious what JG says is right that we have to expect NASCAR has gone far enough, or at least tried to, to stop cars hooking up and swapping for the whole race. If overheating means they have to swap every lap they probably won't make time that way anyway so wont even bother apart from last lap or two. (which could make for an exciting finish)

You think they are going back to pack racing then? I have to agree. Last lap could be back to 2 by 2 crazy shet. I love it and hate it. Liking Stewart. But will wait to bet him.

Feel the same way Hawk. Love both, hate both at times... a bit of both together might be great!

And feeling good about Smoke too. As well as Newman.

As a Newman fan I just hope he finishes with all 4 wheels on ground, though he did lead most lap at both Daytona races

Think I'll try and back anyone that comes with a brand new chassis this week. Seems as good a way to cap this as any to me

no way the 2 car tandem is stopped.i think they have tried again, but just like changes to every plate race this year the drivers figure it out everytime...and listening to drivers this week they dont think the changes will stop anything this time either..id be suprised if we see much of a difference besides blown motors and a few more wrecks...i really wont care either way, cause i like certain elements of 2 car and certain elements of the pack..but i just very seriously doubt we will see pack racing ever again until real big changes take place

After first practice seems cars can draft at least 20 laps together so that's a good thing

    Thanks Vegas.

Won't count Burton as that car was built last year... guess the other 5 will be my bets this week!

Might use them as one side of the picks game too.

Hope that works for you opti. I'm thinking along the lines of the pushers and the pushees. Such as M Martin pushing Jeff Gordon has to be good for Jeff. Earnhart pushing Jimmie has to be bad even though they won it that way in the spring. Both are in the chase. Bobby Labonte pushing Stewart? Can't get behind that combo. Lagono and Kyle just aren't very good at this. Edwards and Biffle looked damn good with Biffle just needing to be a good teammate. Anyway you get the idea.

That's the way I've tried to think the previous couple of these races. Just being lazy really. Agree Kyle is a fade. But think Tony was probably just practicing with Cassill and Labonte to try and make sure the team has as many single friends out there as possible.

I do like the way the EGR pair approached practice. In their brand new cars, so I'm not sorry to be holding them. Others are just because I said I would really. (and we both know what would happen if I didn't)

Is Edwards going to work Biffle by looks eh?

Thought he said he would be sticking with Bayne all race.
