[Seattle Slew]

Pretty good field in this race on Saturday. I like the 3-horse Nick Zito entry. The entry is 9-2 on the morning line, but figures to be around 5-2. The public might think only Andromado's Hero has a shot among the three, so the odds might tick up a bit.

I think Seek Gold has a shot in this race. He ran 2nd to his entrymate at Calder 2 back and was completely shut off on the turn when full of run in his last race at Gulfstream when he placed 3rd. DRF charts don't mention the jock was stuck inside, had to wait and swing 5-wide in the stretch, a killer move on speed-favoring Gulfstream. The third horse, Pies Prospect, appears in too deep but did win his last easily at Tampa Bay Downs. All 3 horses owned by the same owner. How nice is that.

I'm not sold on Magna Graduate, Suave or Super Frolic off the layoff in here, but will likely side with Magna Graduate in my exacta although I seem to never pick Velasquez/Pletcher at the right time.

this is one race i will be betting slew. although, i still have to cap this race.

Let me know your thoughts. The entry is listed at 6-1 right now. I'd be shocked if it went off that high.

Super Frolic scares me a little, mostly because he should be right up with the leaders and can rate. I scored on him in the Hawthorne Derby, so could easily see him winning at 8-1 with my money riding on the Zito entry.

I looked at this race and I like Super Frolic. He is the Class and his style
should be suited perfect for this race. Seek Gold to me will run last
He has no Beyer over 94 in his last 8 starts he has no chance to
hit the board to me. Magna Graduate and Suave are obvious contenders
as well. But Super frolic i think will offer value.

Crud I had the #1 to WP and a 1-7-all trifecta and it came in 7-1-1-something. crud crud crap crud.

I made a little (very little) money on the PS on the Zito entry, but didn't have Brass Hat as I went with Super Frolic in the exacta. Didn't think Brass Hat was this good. I was shocked Suave was the favorite at 2-1 with his average form.

Well at least I called how the race would set up. I just picked the wrong closer. I thought the 7 would be up front but the jockey saw the battle royale at the front end and wisely held back. The place money was still decent and I pulled a small profit in.
