    I can

we have to understand that people are in tigers head for the first time in his life.

watching his press conference PRE TOURNEY it's obvious he is not in a good mental place

golf is an amazingly tough game which is what makes him the spectacle he is

he basically won tourneys because of his mind

his game is no different from any other great player, they are all capable of doing amazing things on any given day

but if the clubs get put down for an extended time it takes awhile to get back the ability to judge distance on iron shots

it gets hard to correct mistakes without over doing it

and the number of 3 putts increases substantially

and his big dilemma is that he doesn't have the time to practice the way he wants

all I have been thinking about is the scene from The Natural where the professional gambler meets roy hobbs for the first time.

the conversation between these guys is interesting

its been awhile since I saw the scene but basically

the G. tells hobbs that he cost him money but he will get it back when hobbs goes bad and hobbs tells him to never bet against him because he doesn't have bad days

and gambler tells him everyone has bad days,

the idea that stuck with me was that you go against someone when they are struggling no matter how great they are

and I'm just now growing into the understanding of how perception creates great opportunity for the aware

I have been kicking myself for not putting everything I own on mickelson over woods this week

I like Anthony Kim tomorrow morning -130 against allenby. They are both -3. I think Kim makes a run. Hes been playing great and hes aggressive as hell.

the line is in this clip

he says "I wouldn't bet against me"

I would love to find a transcript of that whole conversation

    yes kim is very aggressive

I was thinking he is too wild though

I am trying to be picky and haven't really looked into it though

just not enough time to do all the things I want

Allenby is known for being a straight hitter and the fact that he is -3 tells me he is in tune and will have a consistent solid day tomorrow

kim has been wild off the tee and while he is aggressive he is more likely to be erratic

kim has an edge on the par 5s' so far which I decipher as Allenby is playing better golf

Allenby has let me down a few times this year so I am not wanting to go with him but also don't want to go against him

McIlroy barely makes the cut by a shot, and then plays -16 for the 2 weekend days. Had to see it to believe it. He turns 21 the day after tomorrow so he'll have to wait a couple of days before he can buy a drink at a bar and celebrate

Tiger around +750 next week for The Players I know he hasn't had much success there in the past but I can't remember the last time he was more than +400 pre-tournament.

yah - it has been a while...but this just hasn't been Tiger's tournament and he is not coming in playing well as everyone knows. but if you want value and a chance on tiger...might as well take it.
