60 percent of all balls rolled on the PBA results in strikes.
The other 40 percent are spare opportunities of which there are a little over 1000 different spare configurations with the 7/10 being one of the rarest configuration.

Not only that, bowling is pretty much all math, physics, geometry (angles and such)

Foul line to head pin is the same as pitchers mound to home plate. 60 feet.
The lane is 42 inches wide gutter to gutter.
There is just not enough room to get the ball outside the ten pin to slide it over 42 feet into the seven pin without the ball going into the gutter.
Laws of math say so, it's impossible to make that split (which the seven pin is horizontal 42 feet away) It can't be done that way.
The only way to convert that is with a lucky carom off the wall, or in the above video a lucky carom pin off the bowling ball.

Like I said bowling is all math, movable objects, ball speed of around 18 mph, 18 revolutions or so (amount of times the ball turns over before it strikes the pins) or about 300 rpm's.....

True. Only thing stopping the best from shooting endless 300's is lane conditions. If they somehow made lane conditions exactly the same at all times with easy configuration, pros could shoot 300 after 300 after 300 ad nauseam.

I was a 198 average back in the day.
Good enough to hold my own in the regionals, not nearly good enough on the national tour.
The oil pattern on the lanes for that US Open where the kid made that split was torture.
Pattern simple put was slick in the beginning to dry in the middle and it flattened out at the head pin.
Torture.

Today's elite bowlers are going to that two handed release to get like an extra 4 revs on the ball.
Ball hits like a freight train, I tried to do that, I just can't do that.

In real life, I throw a thumbless ball like Bob Benoit. Never picked up the 7-10. They shut my local alley down a couple years ago. Haven't been bowling since.

The overhead especially the electricity costs are too much.
No more profit to be made.

i can't imagine i would have embraced it if i was still bowling. i am not flexible enough to get the mechanics down holding it with 2 hands.
