This thread was definitely more addicting than even the 1972 International Curling Championship between Greenland and Denmark, which as everyone knows, was the watershed event for curling fans everywhere. You did know that, right?

c'mon man... the october 1974 iceland-finland final was way better!

remember how it was held outdoors in reykjavik and dubbed 'shiver on the river'?

sadly it took place the same day as the foreman-ali 'rumble in the jungle'... and was therefore confined to a footnote in the chronicles of sporting history.

Shiver on the river........same day as Foreman-Ali, Rumble in the Jungle?!! Oh damn, that is a funny fukikin post Jack. I'm nominating it for post of the month actually. Not that we have a prayer of it being chosen because I don't think there will be enough that have our sense of humor but by God that was great!

havent even seen the chinese play in the mens draw but im taking them vs usa (shows how much faith i have in the american curling program) @-172

norway -3.5 @+111 russia over 12.5 @+111 given russia and denmark combined for 20 pts in the second draw this should be a blowout for norway... the only thing that concerns me is that they may only play 8 ends meh

Not sure if you guys frequent the middling thread but I found a decent one for the Great Britain vs Germany game/contest/ whatever it is called.
    Totals Points U13.5 $1.85 at Bet365
    O12.5 $1.98 at Pinnacle.

A total of 13 hits about 18% of the time (going back to the Olympics in 2002), does it look like a good bet?
