    BRITISH OPEN plus 7/15

    Well yesterday was very surprising

Actually won 1 of my bets

We are now ready for the British Open at Carnoustie and the infamous Barry Burn that might be reachable in 1 this year

    GAME TIME

WE are studying and drinking ALL DAY

I haven't checked weather, but given it is this hard and fast, you have to think water will run off fairways like a paved road

Will the fairways roll faster than the greens?

There is a difference between great putters, great green readers, and great STROKERS (of the putter)...and this week we like STROKERS

My guess is the texas wedge will be used NONSTOP as well so that brings in guys that cannot chip

    early lean: Mr. RICHARD FOWLER

Fowler is the new Sergio, always hanging around, never stepping up and winning one [yeah I know Serge now has a green jacket, I imagine Fowler will eventually win a major also]. I just don't want to back Lil Rickie at 14-1/15-1.

Got Jason Day thus far @ 26-1

For Woods, putting is likely going to be the biggest issue.
"To be honest with you, I have struggled on slower greens throughout my entire career," Woods said Tuesday during a news conference at Carnoustie that preceded an afternoon practice round.
Woods said Sunday that "the fairways are faster than the greens," a testament to how firm and hard the course is due to an unusually warm and dry British summer.

Leishman sounds full of confidence in an interview I saw on Aussie TV. Said like he likes the course usually, without saying a lot about how current conditions suit him.

Golf futures are a terrible bet with the possible exception of fading Woods.

-7 was winning score on this course in 2007. The winning score will be under par IMO. The ALfred Dunnhill is played every year and this is one of the courses on that tournie- Fleetwood shot like a 64 here last year or something like that. It does not play all that hard- it is just a legendary course with great history. Wind is not projected to be crazy yet, that can change in a drop of a dime. So far I like Willet at 150-1, Lsishman 45-1, Matsuyama 50-1, to name a few darts. Rahm and Ricky I like at the top of the board.

When I was in Vegas in late June had a real nice blackjack session so I went across the street to WillIam Hill and got:

    Ricky +1800
    Fleetwood +2000
    Rory +1400
    Risking $300 on each.

Hoping one or two of them is in the mix back nine Sunday. Only other golf plays I’ve made all year was Rory at the Masters and Dustin at US Open. Tough beats.

Probably will add Leishman and F. Molinari for $100 each Wednesday.
