there is a volleyball match between best team of a league with a weak team, and as usual odds of this team I was expecting 1.01 or 1.02 odd, and 1xbet and marathonbet started the market with this odds.
but after 1 hour I checked the odd and saw something weird in oddsportal, the strong team's odd became 3.8!
this match is second leg of play-off of quarterfinal, and it is important match for both teams.
I searched every and find out that last year in one unimportant league match (before play-off phase) of these two teams, the strong team sent their youth team and lost 3-0. and the odd movements was exactly like now (weak team's odd drops from 24 to 1.45).
but this time the match is important and if the odd was 1.10 there was too much value!
do you have any experience like this? does it mean that there is some inside club news that some people know?

Injuries, youth team, problems with salary which makes the strong team go no strike and send in 2nd squad, game sold/bribed...could be anything.

Then again, sometimes these things are simply just weird.

Same thing happened in the basketball game Czech league between Opava and Pardubice this weekend. 2nd VS 3rd. Close game yet, for no apparent reason the odds went from even to about +550 for opava and the spread went from 1.5 to 12...Opava ended up winning the game by 14 anyway despite the odds move.

I've searched a lot and only thing that I find out is the distance between two cities is 5000 km and there is heavy snow there, and maybe they can't arrive for the match. but I don't know if this can affect odds

it's unreal that you don't understand what unreal means. they sent their youth team and saved their good team from all that travel and to ensure gate receipts for the next one. they bagged it. the boston celtics did this all the time in the 50's and 60's to get that extra playoff game at home for the revenue.

I didn't see something like that in volleyball, and it was strange for me.
