Jason Day(-6) is only (-120) against Phil Mickelson(-3) who openly complained of a sore back. Jason also started yesterday out well out hitting Phil by 3 strokes. Are they thinking Phil is going to be ok and Jason will not have a commanding day? Backup plan here is also Phil might WD before he finishes and all book still grade as action.
Line moved to -110. I wonder if something obvious I'm missing. I heard he might not even start the round... obvious he might not decide that till he warms up closer to his tee time. 1:30PM is when its off the board
I'm throwing a small wager on it. It does seem shady as hell, but at the end of the day, it won't cripple you if lose and your only laying the standard -110.
Also have to consider that people will blindly back Mickelson, home course, etc.
I also like Day in this one- seems too good to be true, but those typically are golf matchup winners. I think he puts a solid round together to stay in contention and Phil will struggle on the South course
Yea well Tiger crushes this course and even he is struggling with his game. Phil is ailing so i can't see him overcoming that AND putting together a round BETTER than someone who just shot 6-under/bogey-free round... I don't care who you are.
Mickelson penetrating chips 30 yds from the pin out of a bunker to 11 inches from the hole.. then Jason pusses his 2nd shot half the distance intended.. All even after 11
Wow. Crazy finish for the push. Probably best I've ever felt after push.. What a sweat
Let's get after it again tomorrow- I took Sergio in a wild 6 shooter in Qatar.
Day was the pick today- some stupid mistakes cost us.
