Hi Angelo (and others experienced in live betting).

As someone who's only ever tentatively dabbled in live betting, I am curious about live betting strategies.

For eg. If I bet $100 on a team paying $5 pre game, at what odds/point in the game do I trade out and for how much, and why?

If anyone could answer the above example, and give a few others that would be great. Also interested in your overall live betting strategy and how/why you use it.

Good thread but live betting sux from the point if view of placing a bet. Hating ringing on,y for the line to change whilst the operator looks for the bet.

There is Pinny where you can place live bets from Australia but not on our sports. NFL is starting so we will be able to bet live in play there on Fridays for the live Thursday Night Football and Mondays For Sunday night and Tuesdays for Monday Night football. Bet Victor is also somewhere you can bet live in Australia on all sports. Tennis is also a great sport to bet live as well.

Rohan here is an example of live betting when you have placed a bet pre game on a big dog like the Tigers on Friday night.

Say you had 100 Tigers ML @10.00 pre kickoff

You decided before the game if the Tigers were at came into 2.00 at any stage of the game you would sell out or hedge etc.

A)You either back the Rabbitohs at 1.72 when it was 18-0 for whatever you want to cash out at, you could put 1000 on rabbitohs at 1.72

and watch the game hoping the Rabbitohs win and you collect 720 profit less your 100 on Tigers leaving you 620 in front if the Rabbitohs win.

B) 500 on Rabbitohs at 1.72 for a profit of 319 for a Rabbioths win or a Profit of 400 of Tigers win ( that is a good return for no risk for a 100 intital investment

There are lots of scenarios all depending on how you see the game going or how much you want to risk etc, The most important part is you have identified a Dog that has performed better than expected and has made it a game.

Titans game today would of been the same, the trick is getting the right team at the right odds before or during a game .

You can set your sell out price before the game via betfair etc so if you are not watching and the team you have backed has performed you wont have to worry about getting on as long as the market has enough liquidity.

AT this point I cant lose even of the over doesnt hit, so its not neccesary to have a half time play, This is a low quality game and anything can happen so I am happy to watch .
