    first half line is -27.5 and the USA might actually cover that spread. But there is no way that they hold up the pressure for the whole game one the lead gets to 40 or so.

    Uhhh.... so?

    That's like saying Notre Dame will put in the third stringers when they go up 77-0 against a bad high school team. It won't make any difference at all. The US team is an elite all-star team. Any 5 players for the US can blow out this team.

    You guys might might want to check the scores of some NCAA women's games when there are real mismatches... When an elite team plays some garbage automatic qualifier 16 seed, things get really ugly.

    What you should be worried about is if Angola rests THEIR starters when they go down 30.

    But I can't see that happening. They have no chance to make it out of the group. Maybe they think they can steal a win against Croatia or something...

    USA "bench" destroys this team without breaking a sweat though.

    This year's #1 seeds won by 41, 22, 31, and 36.

    This is probably a more severe mismatch and there are no "bench scrubs" for the USA to put in.

    NCAAW = longer shot clock (30 to 24)

    Looks like FIBA's 3 point line is further though

    If USA wanted to beat them by more than 50, it would be easy. Not sure if they would want to do this to create some buzz since they are complaining about a lack of respect from the press given their dominance. But probably it will happen more by accident.

    My prediction: 91-34. OK, I just made that up. Looks like the market thinks more like 100-49. But I just can't see Angola scoring that much. I can't see a proud USA team giving gift baskets even in a ridiculous blowout.

    Maybe the under is the play.
