Is there a snowballs chance in hell that USA doesn't win Mens Basketball GOLD?

Men are -750 to win gold
    Women are -850

IS there ANY way that either one will lose? I don't think so...

I may parlay them for my entire bankroll...

Spain will be tougher now that Mark Gasol is one of the best big men in the world, but still don't have enough to beat the US. I'm not sure who's on the team this year. I don't think Rose will play. Wade is a question mark. Any team that has Bryant James and Durant in their starting lineup will not lose.

Bryant showed everyone 4 yrs ago that he was determined to win gold, they all followed him. He is the leader.

lol Kobe isnt playing ... or is he? both dwade und rose are not playing(Rose is going to miss the start of the reg. season how the **** should he be able to play in the olympics?)
However Put bosh/Love at the 4/5 and KD/LBJ at the 3/4... it doesnt really matter who else you got on the team... easy winning for the US
Westbrook will obv. and Chandler probably too. Carmelo anthony should play.... USA is just too good

This is a very simple thing to cap, best talent in the world, being led by the best coach on the planet which has already declared this his last run.

Listen, I hate duke, but Coach K has been winning titles in basketball with White guys and the whitest black men ever concieved.

Not a chance in hell he doesn't bring home gold on his farewell tour. (Kobe's too)

Of course Bryant is playing. Why wouldn't he?

Russell Westbrook will never start. He will watch while Chris Paul and Derron Williams play above him.

The men are close to a lock but be very careful with putting your hard earned (at ridiculous juice) on the US women as the Aussies have been in hardcore training camp for two months to prepare for the Olympics. Notice the Aussie WNBA stars are not playing. USA/AUS always go 1-2 but this year an upset could be on the cards? Remember the Aussies are led by the worlds best player...

Ps - The Aussies (women) crushed a full strength brazil team without L.J the other night!

Woman's basketball is garbage. I play with guys who would wreck most woman in the wnba. Like the guy above said, it's fine to put a little on the us woman, but never put a lot of money on a woman. Never trust a woman with a lot of money on the line. They are not good athletes. Not even many in the wnba can dunk. Pitiful.

Always possible they could have a bad game during the knock out round while one of the other team is on fire. But on paper I just can't see it happening. If you like the bet I would do it now as I think odds will be much worse near the start date.

Is Spain playing with both Gasol brothers and Calderon? Thats a pretty good and big front line and a decent PG. I wouldn't lay -750 against them.

and apparently they have Ibaka too? I can't see the US being a -750 fav just in this game.

Spain has three big bodies—Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka—that can bang with the best in the world, and they'll need that length to overcome the star-spangled Goliath.

If Spain had Rubio they'd have a real chance. Too bad he's hurt.

As mentioned, they have the big bodies, but No PG.

    Spain isn't beating the US.

Jose Calderón isn't chopped liver. I love his style and intensity personally.

    Edit: Here's his stats:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2806/jose-calderon

He's got a PER of 16.73, damn good and I think he plays bigger than his stats. The Raptors really weren't the same at all when he was out.

As of now he's still gonna play. Bulls are pissed. He's probably gonna have surgery afterward and he'll miss a good chunk of the season. If he had skipped Oly and had surgery right away he wouldn't have missed much at all. I get it, but I don't think it's right. His employer is paying him a lot of money.

Not sure about womens but NO WAY IN HELL anyone beats the mens side...Lebron, Durant, Kobe, Howard, D-Will starting with Griffin, Westbrook, Love, Cp3, Melo, Rondo and company coming off the bench...You don't have to be a genius to figure out the bench would beat any starting 5...Don't waste your dough thinking otherwise

Lithuania always has a good team. International rules make upsets easier to happen if a team gets hot from the shorter 3point arc.

I wouldn't say England has a very good team. The rest of the team is pretty iffy. Who are the playmakers to create shots? Gordon is a shooter. Deng is a complementary player. They won't last long.

I think the USA women have an easier chance for gold they will be 30pt favorites against most teams

and around 20 against Australia or Russia
