    What is with Tiger fans at the Open and all other tournaments

    Why are they so rabid.

    Rooting for a guy who is clearly a dirtbag piece of shit.

    Not a team sport. Could understand then if he was on a team and you were a fan of that team

    Is it just polite to root for every player at a tournament when you are there live.

    jeem is right bronxer. it's kinda like when you're watching the nfl or any other sport - do you root to see a great game with great competition, or do you root only for those who are portrayed in a positive light outside their sport? either approach is understandable when watching, but i prefer the first alternative.
