I really can't see the value in 1.5 odds. Picking them in the QF's Semi's and Finals is the smartest way to play. As well, you mentioned draws would mean a loss, well you can make a bit that draws are just a refund of your money. And if you really believe that they might draw a match then you shouldn't be betting them to win the whole thing at 1.5. This is just simple capping knowledge.
Finally, no one believes you that you actually put 4k on this.

Unless you know the guy personally then you can't believe anything you hear over the internet. Take a look over in NFL and you'll hear all kinds of crazy bet amounts that aren't backed up. Either way, I have no overall opinion and am just cheering for Canada to finish 3rd in their group as that was the coaches goal ahead of the tourney. Other than that i just sit back and enjoy the good rugby.

You really can't compare the NFL forum to this one. Stick around for a while and you'll see what I mean. We are very amicable in here and hardly any trolls ever come in.

Second that hawley, best part of sbrforum bar none - thinktank can also be some quality info, but all a bit theoretical over there.
I have no trouble believing astro either as this forum is low on the BS - I personally make bets above the 4 figures too but don't post them as I don't particularly care if people believe me or not. In my own plays I simply talk in units and people can make their own mind up!

I also agree, I opened a thread at the start of the season and there has been no dramas, nobody trying to be the man. Just people sharing insights to games and talking shit.
