    Hawthorne



    Hawthorne cancels due to lack of entries

    Due to a lack of entries, Hawthorne Race Course will be vacating the racing card for Tuesday 3/8/2011. Now into the fifth week of racing, this is the second week of four day racing scheduled at Hawthorne. While there were insufficient entries for the Tuesday card, races are expected to fill for the Wednesday card and all following cards.

    I guess thats a problem at most tracks to many days not enough horses

    That ..plus the way the conditions are written for a particular race creates a decision on trainers and owners to enter their horse or wait a few days longer to rest their horse ..since it just had a race within the past 10 days to 3 weeks.
