rattlesnake bridge is listed as #36F part of the field at 5/2 in the first derby pool i have a list of 10 horses in the 1st pool and like mikca said, i too think hes a little green and hes not on my list at this time for the 1st pool
Hey Mproud you get to see Rattlesnake Bridge this weekend. He is taking on Uncle Mo in the Timely Writer Stakes.I think you might get your wish of him on the Derby trail if he beats Uncle Mo or is even competitive.
It wasn't the competitors. It was the way he won.Similar to Dialed In's maiden win.He was off slow then had to rush up to catch up ,then fell back again, then closed like a freight train in the last 1/16 while racing extremely green on a pretty extreme speed favoring track .Dialed In only got a 75 beyer in his maiden win but came back to run a 97 in the Holy Bull next start.Rattlesnake Bridge only got a 79 in his maiden win but expended tons of energy that he didn't need to .I'm not saying he is going to beat Uncle Mo but if K Mclaughlin can get him to run professionally he can be a top notch 3 yr old.
Pretty late in the game to get cranking when you're that green, but what do I know. A lot of the talking heads love Dialed In, but I think he's just as green.
I thought he ran a pretty nice race considering it was only his 2nd start and he was in a match race with Uncle Mo.They went slow through the 1st half of the race but when Uncle Mo accelerated around the far turn Rattlesnake Bridge ran with him pretty well.
Ratt. Bridge surprised me today with that effort. Keep an eye on him he should improve up to KD if he goes in. As usual the picture changed completely today with exc. of Uncl Mo still early and might be another big unknown coming up in next 2 months.
