    DRf.com.
Multiple ways to sign up to pay less for the form.
Guess there are plenty of books, but for me,it is about watching replays over and over.Keep notes. You will be amazed how much you learn each year.
Bet small amounts while you learn and not every race.Understand what the takeout is and avoid crazy high percentages, avoid favorites, break each race down and find speed, position horses and closers.Solo speed kills.1/4 and 1/2 fractions set the tone for who can and cannot win in most cases.Learn track tendencies(speed or closers).Could go on all day so if you only remember one thing, remember this.
    The pace makes the race.

I think the Form online is way overpriced.I checked the other day i think it was 5.95 to download 3 tracks and then paper and ink costs. Its cheaper to buy the real form and i got 5 tracks for 6 bucks 7 on weekends now but i guess you have to spend money to make money. But i also live close by to a OTB to get one.

Try Brisnet.com...you can download the ultimate past performances...Bet at twinspires.com on the track past performances that you downloaded and you won't get charged for them..They are much better then the form imo..

one big problem with brisnet and equibase forms is they they only give you the most recent race, only, instead of the last 6 races.this usually occurs in a full field of 12 horses,it makes it tough to analyze the race with some degree of confidence.drf is the beeter way to go.

I prefer the Brisnet ultimate PP's too.

I tend to download - then if I don't end up playing at a track - i'll find a $2 show bet in one of the races to avoid the $3 charge for the product ... more often than not - I can find at least one horse somewhere on the card to hit for the show.

I think he must mean equibase programs you'd get at an OTB. Online, you get 10 races of PPs.

Open a twinspires account and all the PPs are free if you wager $1 on the track you download. DRF is a major ripoff.

if you want free ones go with twinspires/brisnet. but despite what mdn specialist says the drf are superior and easier to read however costlier so it's your call.

BRIS is the way to go. Take the time to educate yourself on the wealth of information provided (read Brohammer's "Modern Pace" for starters). There is just so much more than you get with the DRF product.

You use DRF, but a lot of the factors you talk about are easier to identify with BRIS. The run styles, variant adjusted pace ratings, and a good track profile are standard with their programs. Give them a look and you'll see what I mean.

In the beginning, try and concentrate on 1 or 2 circuits. You'll get to know the jockeys and trainers, how the tracks play. Watch trainer moves. Great sport but the takeout kills.

I can understand people enjoying DRF over Brisnet for things like Beyer numbers. But in overall ease of read, I think the Brisnet past performances are much easier to read, both on the computer monitor and printed out.

i disagree of course. brisnet has all that stuff at the top you don't need and makes it harder to read the important stuff like pp's. the cost of drf is excessive. especially if you want to print. does anyone else feel overwhelmed by the cost of printing. however if you join drf bets(brand new) you can get some for free.
