A report in today's Herald Sun indicates that Australia plans to put together a racing event of ginormous proportions – an event known as the World Pacing Cup.
"It's just a matter of where, when and for how much prize money," said Queensland entrepreneur Kevin Seymour, who is part of the newly formed Inter Dominion management group. The group will meet in Brisbane on Friday to discuss the event.
"We want it to become harness racing's equivalent of a Dubai World Cup, where the best horses in the world come together each year," added Seymour, who has already confirmed a sponsorship pledge of $500,000 from a multi-national company.
